The Ocean Dub was better than Funimation at first. Then Funimation got better than Ocean later on.

I think that the Ocean cast was always better. Legend has it that the Westwood dub (from the "Trunks Saga" and onward) had terrible directing and production. It was all very rushed, recorded out of order (so the actors didn't really know qhat they were reacting to), etc.

I always felt that the Ocean cast was and still is better, though the Funimation cast came a really, really long way. That's why there was a fascination with Ocean Kai--given good directing and accurate scripts, it's very interesting to see what they'd pull off.
