DBZ vs DBSuper

Does anyone else agree that Dragon Ball Z assfucks Super in the visual department? IIRC DBZ was hand-drawn whereas Super is some computer voodoo shit.

Like, I think episode one of Super looked great, but even that didn't look right to me. DBZ had a certain "fuzziness" and a look of age, and I like that more than the current stuff they do, even Super at its best doesn't look that good to me.

Solid bright colors can make a painting look kewl, but sometimes you just can't beat those water colors.

DBZ was usually on model and had better camera angles (although after a 20-year hiatus and switching to computer animation, I can see why), but Super tends to have better movement these days:

Besides, nothing Z did really set the bar that high given Z was cheaply produced with inconsistent animation as well.

Not necessarily talking about consistency or animation, just the overall style. DBZ looks old-school and nice and Super looks new & trash.

I think comparing the Freeza fights would be a good example, although FNF arc looked terrible so

Super's animation, though sterile, has improved astronomically and doesn't depend on endless Afterimages to construct fight scenes. Guuku has been missing for a while now.

I think Vegetto specifically looks shite compared to himself in Z, but maybe that's just the shitty SSJB hair on top of the blue gi.

Yeh I can vouch for the older style sometimes.

SSJB is that one thing I can never defend no matter how tolerant I attempt to be. Even Toriyama pretty much confirmed he had next to zero thought when he made that design saying he just made it blue since the last form was red... :elmo

At least he'll never make that SSJW shit its own form now that Zamasu pretty much has it by default though... hopefully
