DBZ vs Kai.

How can anyone be so delusional as to think Z is better than Kai? Aside from looking nicer, the Funi dub of Kai is unquestionably superior to Z. Honestly speaking, the only thing Z has over Kai in my opinion is Faulconer's music. I prefer his stuff, but that's not to say Kai is bad in this department. McCoy is better as #18 too, but that's about it.

I'm just dumbfounded whenever I see someone so surely state that Funi Z > Funi Kai. I think that's just dumb.

Funi Z is fucking terrible in the Freeza and Cell arcs with the retarded voice acting (although Perfect Cell at least sounded more natural than faggot-ass Semi). Kai's dub is beastly by comparison aside from scenes being sped up to match the lower episode count which is more of an issue with the Japanese series imo.

I haven't watch much of Kai brcause of Gohan's gay voice but what I've watch so far, i like the quality of Kai over than Z.

A lot of people grew up with the original Z dub (myself included) and still love it out just of nostalgia. There's nothing wrong with loving the old one, but I do agree that Kai is objectively better. The script itself puts it ahead of the Z dub alone, in my opinion.

I have some of the newer Kai Blu-rays for the dub, they come with Kikuchi's music on them instead of Yamamoto's and I've gotta say they're pretty great.

Krillin from Z dub is painfully for me to watch, he keeps saying a lots of irrelevant lines. I like him a lot from BoZ till Freeza Arc.

Kai's "improved diologue" is overrated. Kai comes off more childish and cheesey than the original which was it's own form of bad.

Kai is shorter, I get it, but the voice acting is sometimes bizarre (rather than original funi feeling phoned in) and the diologue is babyish. Every female character goes shopping? Wtf!

Kai was a remastered DBZ up to Cell Saga. At Buu Saga, however, i can see no difference.

I remember back when I was on youtube this was always a big debate, and funi Z always came out on top. People would trash Kai constantly.

It's nice to see a forum that actually respects Kai. Kai has improved acting, replacement actors that fit the parts way better than their previous actors (Freeza and Gohan especially), a script that isn't cheesy as shit, and no filler. Let's be real, there are only one or two filler episodes that were actually worth watching in Z, but people always complain about that.

I agree with Kai being an overall better experience VA & animation wise, but some scenes def needed some of that Faulconer track or @ least some epic music. For example the scene with Vegeta's Final Flash in Kai. WTF was that scene anticlimatic. No buildup whatsoever in that scene in Kai. Lol

Also the some of the filler ep that didn't make the cut. Goku & Piccolo driving, Gohan's birthday, Mercenary Tao's returns. Lol
