People who claim that 'I'm too busy with real life', need to shut the fuck up. I work 6 days a week, currently enrolling into the army and have a publishing opportunity whilst simultaneously working on my novel and spending time with friends and family.

This degrading notion that 'people who spend time on here have no life', bull shit, needs to fucking stop.

a) You have no idea what happens in other peoples lives.
b) You make the assumption that you do.
c) Your assumption results in something negative.

I hate it.

Who said if you do manage to spend time here, you have no life? All he said is that some people get way more busy in summer time, and then when school/nice weather ends later in the year, people find more time for stuff like this. For example I usually work a physically demanding 8-10 hour shift, followed by walking a very hilly golf course after for another 4+ hours. When I get home, I usually crash and sleep right away, or at least have a nap. It leaves very little time to even post. Does that mean I'm not dedicated to this place, or I don't want to post? No, it just means I physically have no time for it, especially while managing a social life, dealing with school, and doing other activities.Don't look at his post negatively, it wasn't meant to be negative.

I hate when people claim they're so busy they cant dedicate some time to this forum. It's lame. If I can work 6 days a week and do so much shit, you can dedicate some time to our community.

This isn't something you just kill ur time with, it's a community. A family. a place.

This site has grown more and lasted longer than I thought it would've. I think the last forum I was apart of, aside from Neo was Shinden and another one I believe. I don't remember much but neither lasted that long. But DBZeta however I thought would be about 6 months max but we've been up and running for over a year now, far exceeding my expectations. So yeah

For some reason July was really good for unique visitors and ok in individual activity, but was mediocre in terms overall activity. Still, nothing comes remotely close to April where activity and unique visitors were both booming. I think there's reason to believe that we may be moving towards slow yet steady growth since I noticed our search engine rankings have improved and we've been getting a steady amount of new users despite a lack of heavy advertising.

So we've decline a little bit, that's alright we're still booming with some good conversations going on. Overall still I think this forum has last a lot longer than anyone expected. I know it has for me. I was expecting 6-8 months max but how long has it been? A year and a half or close to it?

Yeah, we're getting to a year and a half. And like Hav said, summer is generally slower, that's just the trend. We are doing quite well considering this is august, and you muricans are already about to be back in school. Once all that shit settles down, activity usually picks up again. I'll try to strengthen my efforts on the advertising front so we don't have to rely on natural growth.

I'm always the opposite personally. Summer is when I'm always out and about doing things, and my time at home is usually just sleeping. During school I spend more time here to procrastinate, and I'm at home more often anyway. That's just for myself, though.

My foruming increases when my kids wake me up all the time. It decreases when they sleep well and my wife and I are humping.
