"The concept of an ocarina in the Zelda games was first introduced with the release of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening in 1993. The instrument played a role in the story but was not central to the game's title.
The instrument became a focal point of the series several years later, during the development of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Development for that game began around 1995, and it was released in 1998."
"While the exact production time for Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon is not publicly available, typical film production for Dragon Ball movies involves animation of 8-9 months, though higher quality animation may take longer. Some other films have been completed in as little as 8 months, while others, like Super Hero, may take closer to three years."
So in essence, the movie began production 1994, and was released in 1995. Can we assume that Ocarina of Time was inspired by Dragonball Z's Tapion?
