If it was in space, then no. Then again, King Vegeta probably forgot he can transform when Freeza fought him or Freeza forgot about the transformation.

I take the movie here, so i think Freeza just went there and one shoted Vegeta.

Assuming King Vegeta can use a Power Ball, which he should be able to since Vegeta implied he wasn't the only Saiyan who could, it'd make sense for him to use Oozaru manga-wise. We still have no evidence he did though, so I'd tend to just roll with the presentation anime filler provided.

Good idea. From now on, in my manga headcanon, King Vegeta was an Oozaru
against Freeza.
