Did Krillin amplify his ki to kick Nappa?

It wasn't a ki blast, but he was able to send Nappa flying if I'm remembering correctly. Was this possible at his power level read by the scouter or did he amplify his ki for this whole fight above the initial scouter reading or just for that moment? Or for the whole fight, with additional amp for that kick?

I doubt it was a normal kick. He was tanking everything from everyone at this point.
