Vegeta noted Krillin's improvement on Earth, but still considered him far too weak to be a match for him. This was close to 30k Vegeta.

To go from that to believing Krillin could be useful against Freeza implies a gigantic increase. There's no way he'd be weaker than Nail and be considered useful.

I always assumed Nail had his dormant power unlocked well before the Freeza saga, but I could easily see it happening during that time.

If you think Nail had his potential unlocked, then how Kuririn surpassed Nail?

As I've always said, you guys take comments way out of proportion sometimes. Saying someone would be useful against furiza in no way implies power level in any shape or form. He's mostly talking about gohan there.

There's literally no way that given kuririns reaction to the 530,000 being far surpassing his imagination that he's in ginyu's league.

I don't see why not. After all, Nail is the protector of Guru and it would be stupid for him not to get his potential unlock especially he's a fighter after all.

There's no way of knowing how Nail's power increased. We know Krillin went from over 10k to a level capable of fighting 23k Ginyu not too long after. He then reached a level that Vegeta considered useful against Freeza. With Nail, it's impossible to know where his starting point was. All we know is he was far more powerful than any Namek right from the get go.

Gohan and Krillin were both around 1,500 when they arrived on Namek. When Guru sensed Gohan's power, he commented on his potential being incredible and questioned if he was even an Earthling. Despite his greater dormant power, both he and Krillin were still around the same level once it was unleashed. So while Nail would undoubtedly be superior in that area, it's possible that he just didn't have enough time to keep getting stronger. He just fought and got flattened by Freeza.

Guru unlocked Dende's potential before sending him off to help the Earthlings. Maybe he did the same with Nail before sending him off to help fight against the Ginyu Force.

When there's usually a statement that says "not even all of us together could win", most come to the conclusion that it means they're all too weak to make a difference. I don't see why it wouldn't be about power when the opposite is stated.

Vegeta said Gohan had power that he wasn't aware of, but the emphasis was still on the team. You even have Gohan understanding what Vegeta said and mentioning their improvement in power. As for Krillin's reaction, while he points out that Ginyu is above the group, he seemed to believe he'd never be at a level capable of fighting any of them. If you go by that, then getting to Reacoom's level already seems like a bit much.
