Did the manga ever contradict Golu and Piccolo together struggling to lift a school bus while flying?

So 4 tonnes, which Goku stopped from falling on his own, Piccolo barely kept up on his own and they needed both of them to actually lift the bus up.
This was before the androids arrived.

I don't think so, Galu likes to pretend he's struggling just to make himself look weak for ppl near him. He will play cool, be polite, not say much about his strength, but he's a killer. Once it's a fight, he's always well armed. He's there to play and to be a stone cold killer when he fights.

Oh the anime had some weird anti-feats but yeah the manga obviously contradicts. That large boulder pre 21st Goku pushed alone weighs alot more than that bus did.

You think so? I'd guess that bus is about 4000kg. And here he's lifting it, not pushing it horizontally. I can push a sofa but I doubt I'd catch it if it was falling even a couple metres.

Another thing is he and Piccolo are flying, which could make it harder to lift something, although they are shown to be as powerful in fights flying as grounded. Grounded they can push into the Earth, but that's more about physical strength and maybe physical strength by DBZ contributes a very small percentage of their total strength.

The best manga strength feat may be Vegeta in 400G. If he weighs around 65kg usually in 1G (dunno his exact weight), he's 26,000kg in 400G. He had mastery of that bodyweight, doing handsprings etc I think...I haven checked but I'm guessing, heh.

Well, keep in mind that these are hand and leg weights. Typically people would only use a few pounds to do such a thing.

Strength doesn't scale linearly with power level though. SSJ Vegeta in Super against Magetta can't lift 1,000 tons.

Sure, but it still scales pretty significantly when Goku goes from barely being able to hold onto 40 tons to it being way too easy with Super Saiyan.

DB characters aren't physically weak, Cell Saga SSJ Goku already has star obliterating blows and in the Buu Saga they have at least several super nova level punches
