If Vegeta was SSj and killed by the Androids then why would Gohan think that he has a chance against them after knowing that Vegeta got killed who is supposed to be rival Goku? After all, Gohan did not reached Yadrat Goku PL.

Pretty much. His motivation for becoming SSJ in the main timeline was because he hit his limits while training and got frustrated at himself. He didn't train in preparation for anything in the future.

But Vegeta should be as strong if not, stronger than Yadrat Goku and if he was defeated then that would contradict Gohan's chances against the Android in the movie.

I don't care about all that. If they bothered to animate him as SSJ in the first place, then power chains weren't a priority.

Does Vegeta being SSJ contradict Gohan's confidence? We don't know whether Gohan could properly gauge SSJ chi before becoming one himself,
we don't know whether he could remember accurately what he had gauged 13 years before, we don't even know whether he was there when Vegeta
was killed.

He seems to remember his father's power clearly enough. And I assume he'd want to keep track of his friends' ki as they all died one by one (well Vegeta wouldn't be his friend, but you get what I mean)

Piccolo seemed to have enormous potential after fusing with Nail. He was already Vegeta's rival at Mecha Freeza saga, i don't think that, even
with less hard training, he didn't surpass Vegeta over the 3 years.

It's possible, but nobody would have been sparring to train in the future, so I don't think anyone would have made very significant gains.
