Difference between Final Form Cooler and M5 SSJ Goku.

How big do you have the difference between? A majority of times I like to go with a character's power in a DBZ movie being the same as their power in the series. M5 if I recall was released in the midst of Goku & Frieza's titanic battle in Namek (which could explain why everyone else believed it was Goku who killed Frieza rather than Trunks because that had yet to happen, him debuting. Krillin, Gohan, and Piccolo of all people should know who killed Frieza since they watched Trunks kill him). But anyway I've been thinking of putting M5 Goku on the same level as Frieza Saga Goku.

M5 Goku = Frieza Saga Goku: 3,000,000 (Base)/150,000,000 (SSJ).

But I also give Goku a zenkai boost in the movie (not as big the one he got on Namek, not nearly as big) from him being critically injured by Cooler's attack early on in the movie. I go with a x2 maybe slightly bigger boost for his zenkai. But still considerably weaker than his android saga counterpart whom I have equally as powerful as his M6 self. Now getting on to the topic Goku should have a considerably large edge over Cooler if he can just outright tank Cooler's punch to the gut, however he had some struggles with Cooler's Supernova and took sometime to gain enough control of it to launch it back and send him hurdling straight into the sun. So how big of the difference do you guys have between the two. I go with usually go with x1.4 - x1.5. I would go with x1.25 or x 1.33 but that seems a bit too low for me.

M5 Goku (Zenkai): 6,000,000 - 6,300,000/SSJ: 300,000,000 - 315,000,000
Final Form Cooler: 200,000,000 - 220,000,000

5th Form Cooler/M5 SSJ Goku fight reminded me of 50% Freeza/SSJ Namek Goku, so i give them the same
gap, which is about 2x.

Not at all. SSJ Goku ragdolled 5th Form Cooler and shrugged off his blasts, like he did against 50% Freeza. I
think the writers had the gap in mind.

He didn't rag doll Cooler from what I recall. He tanked a punch to the gut, then punched him around, after which Cooler started laughing.

I don't think that attack was meant to hurt Goku but serve as a distraction, regardless as soon as he did it he already has a Supernova ready to go. I think I may stay with 1.5x, it seems perfect with Goku tanking Cooler's blow to the stomach but have much of an amp would you say the Supernova is? It should be considerably big seeing as Goku is struggling to push it back after a while. I can't use a difference like 2.5 than I'd have Cooler being equally as strong as FP Frieza which shouldn't be the case.

i believe Cooler is in 2,200-2,400 range, IMO, so there is a 1.25-1.36x gap IMO

We know for a fact that Cooler is a monster to Kaioken x20 Goku, but was overwhelmed by Super Saiyan Goku. Writing off the Kaioken x20 Kamehameha as blasts not stacking with Kaioken, it shouldn't be too difficult to fit Cooler in comfortably.

The problem I find is with Cooler's 4th form. He's fighting slightly disadvantaged against Goku, but he's apparently not stronger than Freeza, limiting Goku's power.

- Did Goku mean Freeza's relaxed state (his initial power)? Even if Cooler was suppressed, that would mean Goku barely gained any power at all after escaping Namek.
- If Goku meant 100% Freeza, that means the comments of Goku being enough to have beaten Freeza can coincide effortlessly, but it also means Goku and Cooler are goddamn beasts.

5th Form - 130,000,000

Oddly lining up well with Freeza's 120,000,000...but it still makes Cooler look wimpy gloating about his transformation surpassing Freeza when it doesn't even put a 10% difference between them (going by official numbers).

KKx10 - 1,150,000,000
KKx20 - 2,300,000,000
Super Saiyan - 5,750,000,000

Cooler (4th form) - 100,000,000
5th Form - 3,800,000,000

That's reaching into low Cell Games tier for me.^

But I figure the work-around would be "well, Goku's statement isn't technically contradicted even if Cooler is at 5,000,000 or something because he's still weaker than Freeza's full power." And it works for me.

For me, I think the writer or whoever made the movie was definitely thinking of 50% Freeza vs Super-Saiyan Goku when they had Goku own Cooler like that. The movie probably went into production right-after Goku turned Suepr-Saiyan in the manga, considering how greedy Toei is so the writer probably forgot that Freeza wasn't even using close to his full-power or thought it wouldn't make a difference either way. That's why Cooler got the Super-Nova, to say at-least he has that move which can almost defeat SSj Goku but Freeza doesn't. Obviously all before it turned-out in the manga that Freeza was actually some-what of a match for SSj Goku.

That's why the movie doesn't seem to make much sense, so yeah I stand by what I said.
