Difference between Super Saiyan God and Vegetto

After fighting with Beerus Goku determines that Beerus's expected battle power would surpass a hypothetical Vegetto.

Minute: 20
Context: after Goku regains consciousness following his fight with Beerus
Goku: “This ain’t good. The only way to get stronger would be to merge with Vegeta…and even then, I don’t think I could win.”

Beerus (Expected) > Vegetto Super Saiyan 3

Upon transforming into a Saiyan God, Goku's expectations for the transformation completely blow his mind, but he's unable to land a single attack on Beerus, and can't actually see him move. Further into the episode, he begins to power-up and starts to break into the transformation.

Minute: 22
Context: After Beerus and SSG Goku have fought for most of the episode
Beerus: "It looks like you've mostly gotten used to the power of Super Saiyan God. As a result, I'm starting to enjoy this too."
Significance: In a nutshell, ep.10 is just Goku “breaking in” his SSG form so that he can really use the form to its full capacity. Beerus seems to go along with this, still not fighting Goku seriously and just trying to have an enjoyable fight

Minute: 24
Goku: "I'm still not even close to serious."
Significance: As above, Goku has just spent the episode getting used to his new form and still isn’t giving the fight his all yet.

Goku SSJG > (Powering Up) > Goku SSJG (Initial) > Goku SSJG (Expected) > Beerus (Expected) > Vegetto Super Saiyan 3

Once again for no explained reason, Goku comes back even stronger than before!

Minute: 26
Context: Goku narrates the Next Episode Preview.
Goku: "Hey, what's that technique? Has Beerus-sama been hiding his power again? But I'm a bit different than before too. I ain't gonna lose! Let's keep on fightin'!

Goku SSJG (Powered Up) > Goku SSJG > (Powering Up) > Goku SSJG (Initial) > Goku SSJG (Expected) > Beerus (Expected) > Vegetto Super Saiyan 3

Finally, the two Gods decide to use their full power. Although what Beerus is saying is proven to be a lie, but that doesn't mean what Goku is saying is.

Minute: 16
Context: after the universe once again rather conspicuously fails to end
Beerus: “I nullified all the energy that existed here.”
Goku: “You can…do that?”
Beerus: “Only if I put forth 100% of my power.”
Goku: “100%? Ah! So you still hadn’t gone all-out!? I can’t believe it! You were still hidin’ some power?”
Beerus: “Well, it’d look bad, wouldn’t it? I’m a god. To use my full power against a Saiyan…I’d rather die than make a fool of myself like that…Or so I had thought, anyway. But I don’t want to lose this fight, no matter what! I don’t care how bad or how stupid I look! I’ll beat the tar out of you and prove that I’m overwhelmingly stronger!”

Minute: 18
Context: As Goku and Beerus punch each other a lot
Goku: “Beerus-sama, you really are incredible! The power of your punches is completely different than what it was five minutes ago!
Beerus: “Your power’s risen too, hasn’t it?”
*more fighting*
Beerus: “This is 100%!”
Goku: “I’m at 100% too!”

It's really self preference. I go with Gotenks SSj Pre not quite being at the level he needs to be just yet, he was more or less, a work in progress.
