There is some interesting similarity between Luffy, Kaido, and Yamato
All 3 DF possess the same smoke/clouds around their arms. At the very least, we know Kaido was said to be a candidate of Joyboy, and it's possible his Fish Fish fruit is somehow related to that. Yamato had eaten the guardian of Wano fruit that wasn't meant to be originally for her, the same way Luffy ate the Nika fruit.
All of them are Mythical Zoans based on deities.
Is it possible that the Nika fruit isn't entirely the only way to become Joyboy? That's why Kaido was experimented on, and Momo's fruit is considered a failure?
