Organic furiza was never in goku's league. Closer than some of the other fights we've seen where one fighter clearly outclasses another, but not that close.

He can't sense chi, so he doesn't know for sure. Using words like might and probably doesn't instill confidence. That's the whole reason his father is along for the trip.

The context of the fight between Freeza and Goku proves that they were in the same league.
Which makes Goku >> Enhanced Freeza semi-impossible.

That's because he was already at full power when piccolo attacks him, he was just bluffing. He still wasn't able to tell that piccolo's wasn't going all out either.

Says who? Freeza trashed weighted Piccolo after he let loose in 2nd form. He only transformed once Piccolo removed his weights. He wasn't bluffing about anything, considering he was quick to announce his stronger forms when Piccolo stepped it up and removed the weights. Furthermore, even ki sensors can't tell when a person is hampered by weights, as seen in the 23rd Budokai and the fact that everyone had forgotten Piccolo still had on weighted clothing. Freeza's confidence at the time was well-backed while Piccolo was weighted, and had it been a bluff that'd have been pointed out.

He's also able to make decent guesses on how a fight would go, like how Zarbon and Dodoria can beat a 24000 power together or that his increased speed against Vegeta would be sufficient to humiliate him. When he's wrong about something, it's due to arrogance, but he was quick to acknowledge victory wasn't a certainty here despite his power-up. While on Namek he boasted he was the strongest. That arrogance isn't clouding his judgment, but it's that post-Yardrat Goku and Trunks are above both him and Namek Goku.

Mecha Freeza brought Cold along in case he needed the back-up. IMO he's not quite there yet.
