So, do you think there's still time and space for Piccolo to become relevant again and play a role in this battle against Moro?

Definitely not. I think with Moro having reached his final form, the arc will be wrapping up within the next 3 months.

Considering Piccolo has been asspulled to being relevant to a post-God SSJ Goku and now apparently capable of keeping up with a Gohan far stronger than the one who stalemated Kefla, I'd say it's all up to whatever Toyotaro feels like. Most likely not unless the Mafuba is brought up, though he may serve some relevance in later arcs.
