Do you think that when Saiyans transform into SSJ having more powerful transformations is due to avoid fighting?

For example:

When Trunks transformed into SSJ against Semi Cell, he just warned him about what he could do, but when it comes to stop him, he went Grade 2, which tells me that his regular SSJ could have never catched him up.

When Goku transformed into SSJ against Majin Vegeta, he doesn't intend to fight and tells Babidi to change the scenario.

When Goku & Vegeta transformed into SSJ against Super Buu they seem to react like that because of first instinct and trying to avoid fighting.

Maybe SSJ Future Trunks ~ FP Semi Cell, and he transformed into ASSJ to be safe.

Maybe SSJ Future Trunks ~ FP Semi Cell, and he transformed into ASSJ to be safe.

If that were the case I think Trunks would have decided to attack Cell such as when he did to the Androids in Gero's lab.
