Does DB Needs A New Lead?

A lot of fans are really tired of seeing Goku in the spotlight where the show revolves around him unlike how he was used in Z. And others suggest that it its time to take a new leap with Goten, Trunks, Pan and Uub as the main lead of the show in other words a new generation.

In my opinion, Toriyama did a great job on building Gohan for that role from Saiyan arc to Cell arc and Gohan needs to cement himself as the new savior once he beats Boo and that didn't happen.

So do you guys think we need a new lead or just leave it as it is?

New lead, but it's never going to happen due to how much of the poster boy Galu is.

Most can agree Goku's character has hit the point of no development and has become insufferable. Having Gohan become the lead in the Boo Arc would've been a lot better, since he's far different from Goku's personality, which would make the series seem far more fresh. Alternatively, Super could go the DBO route if it goes past the 28th TB, having Pan, Goten and Trunks be the protagonists or having a new cast after having a several generation spanning timeskip. Any of these would be better than having an idiotic lead who refuses to mature.

Removing Goku from the series might really affect the series in negative way which means that Toriyama/Toei must slowly build the new ones and slowly removes Goku from the spotlight like in Z IMO.

He's been in need of a replacement since the Cell arc now. He's done nothing but regress as a character even in BoG (movie).
