When Krillin cut off Frieza's tail (second transformaiton) with a Destructo Disc, did it hinder Frieza's power in any way, shape, or form?

Only the transformation to his 4th and true form it seems.

It appears as though portrayal makes it a non-factor basically, given how much Frieza dwarfed him.
