In my head canon, mecha Frieza is actually weaker than his organic form, making his quest to Earth a complete act of delusion. That's surely what it looked like on first impression.

If he hadn't done any training I fail to see why it would completely disappear. Though if he can reach 100% without having to bulk up then I'm sure he'd last longer.
