- Luffy fought and defeated Kaidou in what, less than a day? Was Luffy way stronger than Kaidou and that's why he beat him so quickly? Was the gap between him and Kaidou so much bigger than the one between Aokiji and Akainu?
-(Zoro defeated Kaku within a day and Luffy defeated CP9 Lucci within a day, but those were weaker and effectively pre-haki characters - it seemed like the "styles makes fights" only started to end when advanced haki came into it, which is basically the characters who belonged at marineford and stronger (Luffy didn't belong there, strength-wise)).
-Blackbeard defeated Ace pretty fast too, right? Was BB just way stronger than Ace?
It seems like Akainu and Aokiji only lasted so long because of their fruit powers cancelling each other out and not because of them being as strong as each other. Another character as strong as them would lose or win much faster than 10 days.
Likewise, Ace fought Jinbei for 5 days. This happened not because they were as strong as each other, but because Ace's fire powers and Jinbei's water powers cancel each other out. Another character as strong as Ace would either win or lose vs Jinbei much faster than however long it would've taken for Ace vs Jinbei to produce a winner (they never finished their fight).
