Have any of you seen the new movie Stampede? I have not, but supposedly it introduces another character nearly on par with Roger and was a member of his crew lol.

Haven't seen it, though to nobody's surprise, it seems he gets beaten by Luffy (albeit, with the help of Law, Hancock, Lucci, Sabo, Crocodile, Smoker and Buggy, though that toppling a Pirate King tier is still ass when considering the hype surrounding Kaido alone).

Which Crocodile shows up I wonder.. Alabasta or Marineford?

Not one of those guys outside of Sabo and maybe current Luffy from Wano should be able to land a hit on that guy.

What's more is that they actually managed to cut one of his arms off and weaken him enough for Luffy to beat him in Gear 4th.

At least it's not as bad as pre-timeskip Gear 3rd Luffy beating Shiki in Movie 10 just because his body absorbed a lightning bolt.

I bet the events of the new movie will be exactly how Luffy will beat Kaido. I truly hope not.

From what summaries I've seen, he was more or less Rayleigh's equal when Roger was around and only teached Pirate King tier after making GAINZ for 2 decades when stuck in Impel Down.

I'd question where he even got the time to do that when he's a Level 6 prisoner and wouldn't have the luxury to exercise beyond enduring tortures, though I guess it worked for Crocodile.

Wait, I think this is where we can decipher the conclusion of the series. Let's remember Rayleigh is the one who trained Luffy and Luffy is essentially a poorly done Goku clone (or Super Galu prototype), characters like Croc can get so strong just by feeling like it and Goku's most important master had a name beginning with R too...

It's all coming together. The Yonko, Marines and anything else that proves a major threat (Sea Devil? 2) will get solo'd by the old meng who's been training in secret through all those swimming laps - Manly GAINZ Rayleigh.
