So what if Dragon Ball were written following the "path" of a book instead of a manga? Those following pages could be like this, I'd wager:
So, our 5 warriors were found in the blink of an eye and have toiled every one of their days training under Kami and Popo's tutel. Tenshinhan is out of breath, incessantly looking at Kami-Sama, who seems nonchalant as ever and reponds back with such nonchalant look. Yajirobe is meditating, quiet, on his own. Meanwhile, Kuririn is seen sparing with Mr. Popo and tries punching him, who dodges leaning towards the right, while Kuririn is already positioning his left hand to take another shot. Yamcha and Chaozu are also sparring together, both with a nonchalant yet serious look on their faces. Yamcha's punch doesn't connect due to Chaozu leaning back a bit, with his hands in a position that resembles the one he uses when applying his telekinesis technique.
Meanwhile, Son Goku ceaselessly runs over the Serpent Road. He is already tired, out of breath, but still far from giving up since he knows the future of the Earth might cling on this supposedly secret training in HELL.
Gohan, his boy, has already matured a good deal. He is found in the branches of a tree, eating in a animal-ish way, with his face a bit dirty over the difficulty of living on the loneliness, with no pamperings. In the blink of an eye, a dinosaur -- a T-Rex -- is already over him, ready to devour the poor body. Gohan's reaction though? Much to the surprise of everyone, he is no longer that crybaby who is running and screaming to his lungs, scared. He looks composed and nonchalantly asks if the T-Rex wants another 'try'. He runs, mocking the T-Rex for his lack of speed and when this latter is already about to have the boy on his mouth, Gohan jumps... the T-Rex's head crashes on the rock. The T-Rex is dizzy over it, and Gohan, as a form of punishment, decides to take off another piece of the T-Rex's tail, who doesn't react at all. Piccolo watches it all in the sidelines, smiling, since now he is sure he is no longer a trivial boy. He then decides to hand the kid a training that'd make the "surviving-in-the-loneliness" part of the project seem like a handy thing.
So, what do you guys think?
