| Dragon Ball Manga Power Scaling Bible |
| https://docs.google.com/document/d/...-bDAQAKdZoFBp_AF7q2rLkO1pfPb0htBgxl0ao5JF/pub I've been working on a pretty extensive Dragon Ball manga power scaling bible, covering everything from the beginning of the series through End of Z. This is bound to be revised a number of times. It goes through the major characters and their rankings across each saga, with numerical battle powers, transformations, training gains, techniques, and multipliers. I've tried to keep the power gaps reasonably consistent throughout, including what it takes to dominate someone, tank attacks, etc. Some of my choices are probably going to be controversial. For example, I have the base adult Saiyans surpassing Piccolo by the Cell Games, with that continuing into the Buu saga. I generally stick with the established Super Saiyan multipliers, though I also work out multipliers for things like Grade 3, fusions, potential unlocks, and various techniques. I also have Ultimate Gohan above Buu saga SSJ3 Goku, Kid Buu below Super Buu, and End of Z Goku eventually surpassing everyone. For End of Z, I'm going with how the ending was originally framed, before Super, Daima, and the later material started filling in the ten-year gap. I'm treating the original ending on its own terms rather than trying to reconcile everything retroactively. I'm primarily using the manga, with guidebooks and other supplementary material where I think they fit. A lot of the numbers are naturally speculative, and I've tried to explain the reasoning behind the more questionable placements. The idea is to see how far I can get with a consistent system while accounting for as much of the manga as possible. It's gotten pretty long, and I'm sure there are things I've overlooked, so I'm interested in what people think. Transformation Multipliers Great Ape: 10x base Kaioken: 2x–20x depending on level Super Saiyan Grade 1: 50x base Super Saiyan Grade 2: 75x base Super Saiyan Grade 3: 500x base Super Saiyan Grade 4: 50x base Super Saiyan 2: 100x base Super Saiyan 3: 400x base Giant Perfect Cell: 3x full-power Cell Majin Vegeta boost: 1.4x Ultimate Gohan: 25x Z-Sword SSJ2 Gohan Fusion Multipliers Piccolo + Nail: 5x Piccolo Piccolo + Kami: 2x Piccolo Metamoran Fusion (Gotenks): 27.5x the combined base powers Potara Fusion (Vegetto): Approximately 325–379x the combined base powers in this particular case Buu Absorption: Roughly additive I'm sticking with the standard guidebook multipliers for the regular Super Saiyan transformations. The more speculative ones are my attempts to make the various fights and statements work together. The fusion multipliers are also pretty much worked backward from what we see in the manga, particularly Gotenks and Vegetto. I'm not assuming every fusion necessarily gets the same multiplier. These aren't all numbers I'm married to, and I'm sure some will need adjusting. I'm mainly interested in seeing how well they hold up when applied consistently throughout the series. Cell Games Rankings (Selected Characters) SSJ2 Gohan (Enraged): 720 billion Super Perfect Cell: 680 billion Giant Perfect Cell (Raw Power): 570 billion SSJ2 Gohan (Without Rage): 270 billion Perfect Cell (Full Power): 190 billion SSJ Gohan: 135 billion SSJ Goku: 112.5 billion Cell Juniors: 75 billion SSJ Vegeta: 75 billion SSJ Future Trunks: 75 billion Base Gohan: 2.7 billion Base Goku: 2.25 billion Base Vegeta: 1.5 billion Base Future Trunks: 1.5 billion Piccolo: 1.3 billion I know the Piccolo placement will get some objections. I'm allowing for his gains from training in the Room of Spirit and Time, but I also think there's a reasonable case for the Saiyans having surpassed him in base by this point. The Cell Junior fight is probably the biggest obstacle to this interpretation, and I've gone into that in the document. I'm also distinguishing Gohan's ordinary SSJ2 multiplier from the additional power he gets through rage, which helps account for the enormous jump in his performance against Cell. Majin Buu Rankings (Strongest to Weakest) 1. Buuhan: 86.24 trillion 2. Buutenks: 71.61 trillion 3. South Kaioshin Buu (Buff Buu): 51.975 trillion 4. Super Buu: 34.65 trillion 5. Kid Buu: 3 trillion 6. Fat Buu: 2.31 trillion 7. Evil Buu (Gray Buu): 1.386 trillion 8. Good Buu (Mr. Buu): 924 billion Piccolo Buu is essentially equal to regular Super Buu in this scale. I'm going with Super Buu being substantially stronger than Kid Buu, mainly because Goku and Vegeta considered Fusion necessary against Super Buu but were willing to fight Kid Buu individually. Goku also believed he could finish Kid Buu with a fully charged SSJ3 attack. I'm treating Kid Buu's unpredictability and willingness to destroy everything around him separately from his actual battle power. He can be the most dangerous version of Buu in some respects without necessarily being the strongest. The South Kaioshin Buu placement is more speculative, based on the increase in ki Goku notices during Buu's reversion. I'm also treating Buu's absorptions of Gotenks and Gohan as additive, while the Kaioshin absorptions have some unusual effects on his power. |
