Dragon Quest: Dai's Great Adventure

For a Shounen, it's not so bad. Despite being quite derivative of Dragon Ball, it's better written.

I skim through the manga from time to time. I might watch the remade anime from start to finish; looks pretty well made.

Horrendous. Too much friend-ship power & derivative of DragonBall. The crown taken by Weekly-Shōnen-Jump works derivative of DragonBall still goes to YYH (for the audacity).

didn’t Yusuke get an evil transformation for 3 kings? that’s like the most generic idea ever. Either-way YYH ripped-off enough to be called-out for it. Hiei says it all.

Awesome show, I loved the friendship power, especially when both his arms were gone and they grew back when he remembered his friend letting him borrow his compass in geometry class and the guy at the bottom of the third poster who looks like Gintoki Sakata - he's even getting a perm done too.

I meant the Chapter Black and Three Kings arc sucked so bad that they disqualify Yuu-Yuu-Hakusho from being the best DB-derivative work.

I never said YYH was the best. I said most derivative (in a sneaky way too). At-least Dai no Dai-Bouken was being up-front about it.

Beet the Vandel Buster is made by the same people who made Dai's Great Adventure. From what I read, the Dragon Ball influence is a little less blatant, although it's very much in the same spirit as Dai's Great Adventure.
