修業だけでは悟空たちに追いつかなくなったピッコロは、新たな強化手段に出る。ナメック星 人は、他の強力なナメック星人との同化により飛躍的に力が増すのだ。ピッコロは二度の同化で超ナメック星人に進化した!

Piccolo, who could not catch up with Goku and others only by training, will take a new strengthening method. The Namekian is dramatically enhanced by assimilation with other powerful Namekians. Piccolo evolved into a Super Namekian with two assimilations!

↑ あれだけ憎んでいた神様と二度目の同化を決行。超サイヤ人をも凌ぐ力を入手。

↑ A second assimilation with God who he hated that much. Get the power to surpass even the Super Saiyan.

Or could "the others" only mean guys like Vegeta and Freeza? Show me your thoughts.

In Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Nail states that Piccolo's power will increase "10x, maybe more" upon merging with him, which gives us a baseline for Piccolo's power at around 100,000.

^ didn't the el manga legendario state Piccolo's power increases by 5-fold with the Nail merge?

It did, but I'd say the Kakarot statement probably takes precedence when we don't know who at Shueisha gave permission for El Manga Legendario and it never being given the recognition to be translated in Japanese makes its status fairly dubious by comparison.

Okay, so I decided to go back and check the Japanese dialogue to make sure, and it turns out that the '10x' thing was yet another case of the English translators making shit up as they went along. :eek:of

Nail's dialogue is "そうすれば、おまえのその力が数倍にもなる", which translates to "That way, your current power will be multiplied several times over", without singling out a specific number, just like the original version of the statement.

One could argue that this is in line with the Legendario statement, since 'several' means a number greater than two or three but not too many, but it's vague.

And here I thought Funi had learnt their lesson about this (unless it comes to forcing political agendas in modern anime) :cena.

Guess El Manga Legendario remains the best source we have on Post-Kaio Piccolo's standing.

Shame, ~100k was a sweet spot for me. Guess I’m going back to Pre fusion Piccolo being 50k tops.

Anyway, is this evidence of Kuririn > Nail or not?

Krillin's got more evidence on his side. Piccolo is trash by late-Namek standards.

It definitely isn't, unless you believe Android Arc Kuririn > Piccolo.

Piccolo had already fused with Nail by the time of the Android Arc, so not a good point.

It's a general statement about the two Assimilations, not just one or the other. If you assume Kuririn is being referenced in one instance, it also follows he's being referenced in the second one.

Since we know the latter is bullshit, then so is the former.

I have post-Kaio Piccolo at 43,600 and Kuririn at 26,750 at Freeza fight. Piccolo should win this mid-difficulty.

Also, the fuck is the el manga legendario?

It's a Spanish guidebook that was for some reason never translated into Japanese or English despite being provided by Bird/Shueisha (same as the other guidebooks). It has quite a few interesting excerpts, but because of its vagueness and lack of native Japanese translation, some fans don't take it seriously.

I have Krillin at 360,000 and Piccolo at 30,000...might have overrated Krillin a bit but regardless I see him being around 200,000 or higher.

Get bent. Krillin > Piccolo is a safe bet.
