He'll probably be the main antagonist of a short arc, or secondary to his manipulative mother I suppose. Kizaru seemed to hype him up, though I don't see him being a major player in the grand scheme of things, especially now that we're officially in the Yonkou Arc.

As for his parentage, I wouldn't be bothered by him being WB's son.

I think it's pretty obvious that he's not Whitebeard's son and that his mother is lying.

I doubt he'll be more than a secondary antagonist at this point. Even if he was hyped, any of the warlords other than Mihawk seem frankly lesser post Dressrosa. Like he'll fight one of the crew but not Luffy or something.

Kizaru did say that his strength resembles that of a Young Whitebeard though, which says a great deal about his power, moreso if he didn't go through any excruciating training. That kind of natural strength does give his parentage some recognition, or at the very least, say he won't be underwhelming.
