This anime has one of the besting endings of all time. This series is extremely underrated. It had constant good quality from start to finish.my overall rating is 8.5/10. This anime made me cry 3 times in 1 day. Lelouch's death was sad but not as much as Rolo's

Hmmm, well I dont really bother with anime ive watched years ago. That might be why, theres new content coming out every year and the years are passing by even faster.

Yeah true, guess it's just not old enough that I'd casually call it "old." Generally I'll consider it old if it looks dated. Geass doesn't really look dated. Stuff from the 90s/early 00s look dated enough that I'd call em old.

Grid thought it was better than R1 and R2, iirc.

I have not. I know what Grid thinks, although I've also seen a lot of Geass fans hate on it. Regardless, I'll watch it sometime, it's just not a priority/I don't have much motivation to.

I hated Geass, yeah. I think you'll like it though. Most do. I may have been too hard on R1, though more in a "it's shit but not THAT shit" way. R2 is veritable dogshit in my opinion, but I believe you'll enjoy it more than R1 as it does up the intensity with plot twists and somewhat heavy drama.

So yeah, enjoy it, I hope your experience is better than mine.

Code Geass isn't as good as I remember it to be I agree but I always found it to be better than Death Note for comparison's sake. I also believe Code Geass went downhill in R2 but Part II Death Note was even worse and went more downhill too. To give Death Note some credit though the Manga ending was better than Code Geass's ending but the Anime's ending was worse. I can take Light having a less humiliating death but I can't believe he outran the Task Force with bullets in his stomach lmao.
