I'll start with the revelation that Krillin can breathe through his skin.

I remember that.

I also love how forgetful he is. Most fans see it as a bad thing but when you consider what he said about how he handles his story telling it makes sense why he forgets so much.

Many fans misunderstand Toriyama and expect him to be a consistent mangaka machine and he's never worked that way since day 1.

This is a good example of an actual retcon when 17 explained that before the ToP about hearing Goku's voice within Cell.

2nd form Cell looked different than the Freeza derivative, boring perfect form. I liked that form.

Yeah I think 17s line was just their way of explaining how 17 knew Gokus voice back on Z whithout having actually met him. I find it dumb either way, since I think 17 would be in a sleepy mode inside Cell's body much like the Z warriors were inside Boo. I think it'd be better if his data on the Z warriors also replicated their voices, as 17 was familiar with their appearances.

But still, the Lunch retcon makes more sense because 17 never met Goku in person... so it wouldn't make much sense for him to feel nostalgic over listening to Gokus voice. Lunch has a history with Goku, as empty as that was, but she still was present in some remarkable moments from Son Goku and had more of a melancholic feeling towards everything.

Yeah, I get it. I think they could have provided an explo that makes more sense. I'd prefer Lunch appeared tbh. We never saw her again after the 1st Dragonball part.

I do however love the manga only scene of the Cell Jr. helping 17 protect the island with Goten and Trunks running into them. Funny to think they regenerated after blowing up.

Man, Super Hero really missed the boat Including them. I wish they'd show up again and play an actual role.

Wonder why Gohan's Great Saiyaboy outfit and #17 didn't make an appearance in this movie. Kind of a missed opportunity since Gohan's superhero antics making a cameo would have been cool even if he didn't fight in that costume, and Cell (Max) showing up in his 2nd form-inspired form but not running into the android that let the original Cell reach that form in the first place is ehhhh

Maybe that Android 19 and 20 were meant to be the final villains of the Android arc. Perhaps well known around here, but I doubt it would be among casuals.

Bardock stuff was supposed to be a movie (with I think Goku fighting Bardock), but since they couldn't really do that instead the TV-Special was created.

Krillin is the only friend of Goku's who didn't try to kill him when they first met (Bulma, Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Yadjirobe, Piccolo, Vegeta).

Back when he first created Vegeta he wasn't too fond of his character but over the years Vegeta grew to be one of Toriyama's favorites.

Toriyama has changed his mind a few times over the decades on who his favorite characters were. Piccolo was named on two separate occasions, and Ten was once his fav, and of course Goku, etc...
