>This is Gohan's hairstyle at the start of the arc:
He ties it when he trains:
He cuts it for the Budoukai:
Base Gohan:
SS1 Gohan:
SS2 Gohan:
Ultimate Gohan:
>Goten has his own hairstyle instead of looking just like Gokuu. Like this:
>No Great Saiyaman (shit was cringe and a waste of time)
>Goten and Trunks are much weaker at the start of the arc. They can't even turn Super Saiyan (this way, Super Saiyan isn't devalued as much).
>Piccolo is the one who trains Goten (now it makes more sense how he can keep up with Trunks, who is trained by Vegeeta)
>Kurilin and Eighteen don't get married, nor do they have a child (Them becoming a couple was stupid fantasy fulfillment for incels. But I'll be generous and let them be dating during the arc. Mahron doesn't exist)
>Eighteen and Seventeen become park rangers together to honor Sixteen. They work on Monster Island. Kurilin is also employed there as a park ranger. So is Oolong because he can't get a job anywhere else.
>Instead of going to high school, Gohan has already graduated from university as a teenager because he's so smart. He is an assisting professor at Orange Star University.
>Gohan attends the Budoukai because Chichi is running out of money from Gyuumaoh. Upon hearing that Gohan is participating, Vegeeta also decides to enter. Gohan trains with Piccolo again. Goten and Trunks help out with his training.
>Veedel is slightly older; she's graduated high school and doesn't attend university. Having been inspired by footage of the Cell Game (particularly Gohan, who she always had a crush on) as a child, Veedel took her martial arts training very seriously and devoted all her time to it; she would've sought out superhuman masters, and she'd train under Tenshinhan and Jiaozi at their shrine. She'd be stronger and can fly and shoot Ki blasts (honestly, I'd like to remove Veedel altogether, but I'm keeping her just to be generous. The reason I'd make her stronger and superhuman level at her debut is so she can put up a better fight against Yamuu later).
>Gokuu surprises everyone when he returns for the Budoukai. The only ones who show up are Gohan, Goten, Chichi, Piccolo, Vegeeta, Trunks, and Bulma.
>Kurilin, Eighteen, Yumcha, Pu'er, Oolong, Roushi, and the Gyuumaoh do not show up for the Budoukai (the fewer useless background characters, the better).
>No Youth Division at the Tenka'ichi Budoukai (shit was a waste of time).
>I'd remove Spopovich, and I would make Yamuu be the one to fight Veedel and take Gohan's energy (it's pointless to have both Spopovich and Yamuu. Since Veedel wouldn't be brutally beaten or tortured in my rewrite, I think it's better to use Yamuu as he seemed calmer and less sadistic than Spopovich)
>No Jewehl, no Keela, no Puntah, no Mighty Mask, etc (all pointless, worthless characters).
>The planned matches at the 25th Budoukai are:
1. Piccolo vs. Shin
2. Veedel vs. Yamuu
3. Gohan vs. Kibito
4. Gokuu vs. Vegeeta
Whoever wins the tournament would fight Mr. Satan.
>Gokuu, Gohan, and Vegeeta disguise themselves as Super Saiyans when they participate in the tournament and withhold their names to avoid media attention (all should have mastered Super Saiyan by this point, anyway).
>Gohan is about equal to his Cell arc self. Gokuu and Vegeeta far surpass him.
>Veedel loses to Yamuu, but Gohan is impressed by her skill and gets a crush on her. He offers to train her. Vegeeta disses Gohan in front of Veedel, saying that Gohan's too rusty to be an effective master for anyone. Trunks realizes that Gohan just has a crush on Veedel and teases him for it. Veedel also has a crush on Gohan, realizing that he's the same boy who fought Cell all those years ago.
>After Gokuu, Gohan, Vegeeta, Piccolo, Shin, and Kibito leave to follow Yamuu to Bobbidi's spaceship, the Budoukai organizers throw a concert sung by Mr. Satan. Goten and Trunks leave to look for their fathers, Gohan, and Piccolo once they get bored.
>Shin explains Boo's history in full right away. Boo never absorbed South Kaioushin (who would be much weaker and killed along with North and West Kaioushin); Grand is the only Kaioushin who got absorbed. Also, Shin didn't bring Boo's shell to Earth. Bibbidi hid Boo's shell in Demon World; after Shin killed Bibbidi, he let the Demon World Kings guard Boo's shell. Boo was so feared that no one in Demon World would dare try to release him. Years later, after become strong enough to brainwash Darbra, Bibbidi's descendant Bobbidi takes the shell and goes to Earth after hearing that the person who killed Freeza (said to be the strongest person in the universe) is there.
>Bobbidi's spaceship is enchanted with magic and cannot be destroyed easily (it was dumb how they chose not to destroy Bobbidi's spaceship when they were inside it, which led to Boo coming out at full power. So, just make the spaceship basically indestructible until it gets destroyed later).
>Darbra is about as strong as Super Perfect Cell and on par with Gohan, who fights him as an SS2 (with electricity!)
>Darbra doesn't kill Kibito. He turns him to stone along with Piccolo. After Boo kills Darbra, they're both turned back to normal (No point in Kibito dying basically right after we got introduced to him, especially when he got revived basically right after)
>Darbra and Bobbidi can't sense Ki, but Darbra knows what Super Saiyans are. Darbra believes that if they take energy from three Super Saiyans, they'll be able to revive Boo. They leave Piccolo out because it's not necessary to take his energy; the Super Saiyans will give them more than enough (it never made any sense how Bobbidi and Darbra could "sense" Gokuu, Gohan, and Vegeeta's energy when they were surprised to see them beat Pui Pui. Also, this way, Piccolo wouldn't arguably be weaker than base Saiyans, which was stupid. And there'd be no endless base Saiyan vs. Freeza debates).
>Bobbidi's mind control spell takes a lot of his energy when he uses it on someone powerful, so it's only something he uses as a last resort. Also, he's aware of the possibility someone may be able to resist it if they're too powerful.
>Vegeeta doesn't let himself be corrupted by Bobbidi; instead, Bobbidi takes full control of Vegeeta against his will and forces him to kill all those people at the tournament. (Vegeeta willingly giving himself to Bobbidi and killing a bunch of innocent people just to fight Gokuu was irredeemably despicable of him).
>Gokuu doesn't use SS3 against Vegeeta because he's afraid of killing him. Since Vegeeta has already been revived by the Dragon Balls before, the Earth Dragon Balls would be unable to bring him back (and the Namekkians wouldn't want to revive Vegeeta as he killed Namekkians before).
>Because Goku can no longer sense the brainwashed Vegeeta's Ki (just like he couldn't sense Yamuu's Ki), he's at a big disadvantage when they fight as SS2 and is defeated. Before Vegeeta can kill Gokuu, he's stopped by Kurilin, Yumcha, Tenshinhan, Jiaozi, Dende, and Mr. Popo. They convince Vegeeta to break free of Bobbidi's control by reminding him of his family; Vegeeta does so. Dende heals Gokuu (because Vegeeta destroyed the Senzu bag during the fight), who goes over to fight Boo accompanied by Vegeeta, Kurilin, Yumcha, Tenshinhan, and Jiaozi.
>Upon returning to normal, Kibito attempts to help Shin against Boo, but Shin telepathically tells him to go find Gohan instead. Kibito struggles to sense Gohan's dying Ki, and is further distracted by Gokuu and Boo's battle.
>Gokuu turns SS3 to fight Boo. He comes close to defeating him, but uses up all his time to stay on Earth and poofs away to the afterlife.
>Boo enjoyed fighting Gokuu, but gets angry when Gokuu disappears. Boo does his Angry Explosion. Bobbidi, Kurilin, Yumcha, Tenshinhan, and Jiaozi are all caught in the explosion and killed. Bobbidi's spaceship is also destroyed. Piccolo is injured shielding Goten and Trunks. Kibito teleports away with Shin before the explosion hits. He heals Shin on Kaioushin World; they return to Earth to find Gohan and bring him to Kaioushin World.
>Vegeeta fights Boo and is pummeled. Trunks unlocks Super Saiyan when he sees Boo torture Vegeeta. Piccolo leaves with Goten and Trunks after Vegeeta knocks the kids out. Vegeeta blows himself up to kill Boo, who survives.
>Bulma and co don't use the Dragon Balls to revive everyone Vegeeta killed (dumb of them to do this without considering the possibility that they might need the Dragon Balls later. Also, this gets rid of that stupid scene where they all assumed Gohan was dead even though they had just used the Dragon Balls to revive everyone who died. Gohan had never been revived before, so he would have come back to life from the wish if he was dead)
>Piccolo and Dende meet with Gokuu at the Check-In Station. Gokuu shows them the Fusion Dance, and Dende comes up with the idea of having Goten and Trunks fuse (remember Kami could travel to the Check-In Station in the Saiyan arc, and that's what Piccolo and Dende do here).
>Mr. Popo brings Chichi and Bulma to the lookout. He also tells Boo that someone strong will fight him in 2 days before teleporting away on his carpet.
>Dende has the Room of Spirit and Time upgraded to have no time or person limit (it never made sense how Goten, Trunks, Piccolo, and Boo could all be in the room when it was established that only two people could go in at a time. So, reveal that he upgraded it to have no limit on how many people can enter at a time. And if you do that, may as well have him upgrade it so it has no time limit)
>Goten and Trunks aren't forbidden from training in the Room of Spirit and Time. They train in there for 3 years (3 days outside) with Piccolo. Goten unlocks SS1 just like Trunks, and they both reach SS2 eventually. Gotenks unlocks SS1, SS2, and SS3 (always dumb how Gokuu wouldn't let them spend just a week in the Time Chamber, about half an hour in the outside world, when that wouldn't be using much of their allowed time there. Anyway, the room gets destroyed, and Dende later rebuilds and upgrades it in DBS, so there's even less of a reason in Goten and Trunks not using it. Fact is, it was just a thinly veiled way to pad the story arc out).
>Redesign Gotenks so he looks more like a fusion of Goten and Trunks, not Vegeeta with purple highlights. Basically, this (just remove the earrings and put him in the Metamoran outfit):
>Gohan struggles more to pull out the Z Sword; he only pulls it out after getting a rage boost from remembering how Boo almost killed him. Gokuu tracks down Gohan's Ki when this happens.
>Instead of Gohan sitting on his ass for a free powerup, Elder Kaioushin brings out Gohan's hidden potential beyond his limits by casting a spell that drives Gohan mad. Gohan's power greatly increases, but unless he regains his sanity, he'll die. Elder Kaioushin restores the Z Sword and seals Gohan inside of it (Gohan sitting on his ass for a power up was stupid).
>Veedel befriends Boo along with Mr. Satan.
>Boo's pet dog is killed when it gets shot by the gunman.
>No Gray Boo. Fat Boo transforms directly into Super Boo (Gray Boo only makes things confusing once Pure Boo appears).
>It's during the time that Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo are in the Room of Spirit and Time that Boo becomes friends with Mr. Satan and Veedel and transforms to Super Boo.
>Super Boo does his Human Extinction Attack before heading to the lookout; he weeds out all the weaklings on Earth (sparing only Veedel and Mr. Satan), believing that the person said to fight him will have survived. Mr. Popo swallows the energy waves that were headed for himself, Chichi, Bulma, and Dende (same move he used to swallow Gokuu's Kamehameha), but explodes. Sensing the survivors on the lookout, Super Boo flies over there.
>Dende is the one who leads Boo into the Room of Spirit and Time.
>Super Boo doesn't kill Chichi before everyone else (always dumb how Goten didn't turn SS2 when he saw his mom get killed).
>Gotenks turns SS3 against Boo in the Room of Spirit and Time. He turns back to base before he can finish Boo off. Piccolo destroys the entrance, attempting to trap Boo inside. Boo opens a wormhole and escapes.
>While in the Z Sword, Gohan is able to see Boo kill Chichi and Bulma. This brings him back to the senses and he breaks free from the Z Sword, now in his Ultimate form.
>Gotenks, Piccolo, and Dende eventually escape the Room of Spirit and Time as well. Before Gotenks and Boo can resume fighting, Gohan shows up with his potential unlocked by Elder Kaioushin and beats Boo to a pulp. Boo then absorbs Gotenks and Piccolo. Bootenks beats up Gohan. Dende brings Mr. Satan and Veedel over to reason with Boo, but to no avail (it was way too convenient that Gohan and co just stumbled upon Mr. Satan as they were looking for Dende. And it was too convenient that Dende just happened to be thrown off the temple when Boo turned everyone else to chocolate)
>Ultimate Gohan is undoubtedly the strongest unfused character (Gohan's potential being unleashed should make him the strongest given how much of a big deal his potential has been throughout the series).
>Gokuu doesn't throw the Potala at Gohan. Gotenks's fusion runs out inside of Boo before Gokuu can throw it. (no stupid scene of Gohan being unable to catch an earring).
>Vegeeta would have unlocked SS3 in the afterlife (I figure, why not. He looks too pathetic when he can only go up to SS2).
>Vegeeta has no problem fusing with Gokuu at first (he would have already seen Boo kill Bulma and absorb Gotenks/Trunks before), but hesitates only when Gokuu tells him that they'll be fused forever. He still ends up agreeing to fuse with Gokuu.
>Vegett doesn't split inside of Boo (him splitting because of "bad air" was stupid).
>Vegett finds Grand Kaioushin, not Fat Boo, inside of Super Boo's body. He frees him along with the Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo (it never made any sense for Fat Boo to be able to coexist with Pure Boo).
>No Buff Boo. When Vegett disconnects Grand Kaioushin from Super Boo's body, Super Boo transforms directly into Pure Boo (it never made any sense how Super Boo only turned into Buff for a few seconds before turning into Pure. Just remove Buff altogether).
>The reason Grand Kaioushin didn't free the Z Sword was because he didn't want to rely on a sword to fight enemies.
>Pure Boo is explicitly said to be the strongest Boo of all (contrived for the final enemy to not be the strongest enemy)
>After seeing how unhinged Pure Boo is, Vegett attempts to kill him with Final Kamehameha. Vegett splits before he can fire it because his power was too great for the fusion to stay intact.
>When Boo blows up Earth, Kibitoshin teleports Gokuu, Vegeeta, Dende, Mr. Satan, and Veedel to the Kaioushin Realm. Grand Kaioushin puts up a barrier to protect himself along with Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo. Upon seeing Pure Boo teleport, Grand Kaioushin learns how to perform the technique himself. He teleports to the planet that Kibitoshin, Elder Kaioushin, and Dende are on to drop off Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo before teleporting to the Kaioushin World. Kibitoshin heals Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Piccolo (it never made any sense why Gokuu and Vegeeta just left Fat Boo inside of Super Boo's body. For all they knew, Boo could have just reabsorbed him)
>Due to Vegett's power causing their fusion to split, Gokuu and Vegeeta are unable to fuse again with the Potala for the time being. They don't fuse with the dance because they would just end up splitting again due to their sheer fused power (Gokuu and Vegeeta turning down the Potala and the dance was just dumb artificial tension).
>SS3 Gokuu and SS3 Vegeeta fight Pure Boo together, but Pure Boo easily defeats them (Pure Boo being much stronger than Gokuu justifies Gokuu still wanting to fight Pure Boo's equal ten years later).
>Grand Kaioushin fights Pure Boo when Gokuu and Vegeeta can no longer fight. Grand Kaioushin and Pure Boo are equal in strength, but Boo has the advantage due to his regeneration.
>When Kibitoshin is about to bring Gohan and Gotenks over to fight, Vegeeta tells them to go to Planet Namekku and use the Dragon Balls to restore Earth and revive everyone who died in the last few days (except the really evil ones).
>Fusing causes the fusees to gain each other's memories. This is how Vegeeta learns about the Genkidama. He suggests gathering energy from everyone on Earth and Planet Namekku to defeat Boo (never made sense how Vegeeta knew what the Genkidama was when he was never told about it).
>Gotenks donates his Ki to the Genkidama instead of Goten and Trunks donating separately (never made sense why they didn't fuse).
>Lunch is shown donating her Ki instead of Seventeen like Toriyama originally intended (Seventeen was completely out of place here, and he and Eighteen shouldn't even be able to donate their energy to the Genkidama as they don't have any Ki).
>Vegeeta's energy is restored when Pornga revives him. When Grand Kaioushin is defeated, Vegeeta fights Pure Boo as an SS3 again and buys enough time for Gokuu to finish charging the Genkidama (never made sense how Vegeeta could stall Boo in his base form without getting killed).
>Pure Boo isn't scared by the Genkidama and he willingly tries to block it with his own physical might because he likes the challenge (it was dumb how Pure Boo toyed with Vegeeta while the Genkidama was charging when Boo was already shown to be afraid by it. It also was dumb how Pure Boo didn't just teleport out of the way to dodge the Genkidama. It's better if he purposefully chooses to go up against the Genkidama. Plus, this could give Pure Boo a parallel to Gokuu; they both like to challenge themselves instead of receiving help or taking the easy way out).
>Gokuu turns SS3 to kill Boo with the Genkidama after being healed by the Namekkian Dragon Balls (no reason for Gokuu to hold back to his weakest transformation when making his final attack).
>Vegeeta makes his speech about Gokuu being better than him after Boo is killed. It would be when they reunite with their family and friends on the Lookout right before the 10 year time skip.
>Grand Kaioushin stays on Kaioushin World with Kibitoshin and Elder Kaioushin.
>Everyone else's memories of Boo aren't erased (no point since Fat Boo would be gone. But everyone's memories of Vegeeta killing people at the tournament are erased, so he can live on Earth peacefully)
>Mr. Satan has fully retired from martial arts at the end of the manga (he can't rig the tournament without Boo and he's getting older, anyway).
>Bra is a fighter and a friendly rival to Pan a la Goten and Trunks.
>Gokuu still regularly keeps in contact with Bulma instead of only visiting her once five years prior.
>Pan and Bra don't participate in the Tenka'ichi Budoukai because it's deemed too dangerous for them.
>Gokuu, Goten, Vegeeta, Trunks, Piccolo, Grand Kaioushin, Kibitoshin, and Oob are the finalists in the Tenka'ichi Budoukai (no worthless throwaway characters like Moh Kekko, Kirahno, Knock, Captain Chicken, and the gay stereotype).
>Gokuu, Goten, Vegeeta, and Trunks disguise themselves as Super Saiyans when they participate.
>Gohan doesn't go to the Tenka'ichi Budoukai because he has an academic conference to attend (he still keeps up his training and is upset that he couldn't participate in the Tenka'ichi Budoukai. Honestly, I would have had Gohan participate, but he'd have to disguise himself as a Super Saiyan. Since he's Mystic, it wouldn't really feel right showing him as a Super Saiyan, so I wouldn't have him participate. Not that Gohan would be unable to turn Super Saiyan as Mystic, but it feels off and I think it would lead to confusion)
>Grand magically masks his face to look like Barry Quarn. He uses the pseudonym "Dai".
>Kibitoshin goes by "Shin".
>Kurilin, Yumcha, Gyuumaoh, Oolong, Pu'er, and Dende don't attend the 28th Budoukai. Only Chichi, Veedel, and Bulma come as spectators; they get the best seats because Veedel is Satan's daughter (the fewer pointless background characters, the better. They can appear on the "THANK YOU GOODBYE" message on the final page, though. They can also appear in cutaways during Gokuu and Oob's match, watching it on TV or sensing it from afar)
>The planned matches in the 28th Budoukai are (none of the matches after Gokuu vs. Oob would be shown in the manga)
1. Gokuu vs. Oob (Gokuu leaves with Oob)
2. Vegeeta vs. Dai
3. Piccolo vs. Shin
4. Goten vs. Trunks
>Gokuu puts Oob on Kinto'un just like in the Kanzenban.
>Add Kibitoshin, Grand Kaioushin, and Elder Kaioushin to the "THANK YOU GOODBYE PAGE".
