Why lol. All you have to do is move your eyes.
One-Piece takes greater effort in taking in the information. It actually foreshadows and so-on and more dialogue that might take more than one read to understand (either because translation makes it confusing or maybe it's just because I'm easily distracted/absent-minded).

The information is actually very easy to digest. It's pretty simple overall. There's too many dialogues, granted, but it's not something you need to pause and think too hard at what's happening. The reading flows rather swiftly, and that's coming from someone who has read it many times, trust me.

I just want to understand better the reason for why you won't read it despite liking the series a lot. You may be missing something that's motive of happiness and excitement for you. You don't want to discuss the new events with us?

These days, I’m like I said very absent-minded and my concentration leaves a-lot to be desired (might be because of my sleeping habits), so reading’d be very hard (and taking-in the information obviously).

It'll be easier if you start at chapter 1 since you already know most of the plot. Then you can slow down when you reach uncharted territory.

I can understand the reason because I suffer from terrible attention spam too and I need to re-read things a FUCKING LOT many times to finally grasp them, but maybe try associating the OP reading time with something pleasurable. Make some drink, tea or something to get you in the reading mood. And don't stress too hard either, try reading few chapters at first and then gradually increasing it when you move the plot. At first it'll be harder, but as long as you get more familiar with the story and the characters, it gets easier. It flows more naturally. And the 1st chapters are very easy to digest and process. It's almost as straightforward as it gets. Cool think to me about the beginning of the series is that despite not beginning with a high note (imo) it presents the info in a very simple and nice way. So if you know the story will get way better, you can read through it very easily. But I thought you had read until the end of Alabasta already or am I mistemembering...

They are real. I can watch something that’s short or doesn’t take much effort (something easy to read/watch), but beyond that it’d be hard.

I understand where you're coming from. I have severe ADHD and it can be literally impossible to concentrate and even more impossible to remember things. It doesn't stop me though. Why allow it to deprive me of something that could bring me enjoyment even if I don't remember every panel perfectly?
