Fat Buu's durability and power is pretty inconsistent

In one instance he is presented to be stronger than SSJ2 Goku & Majin Vegeta to the point in which they have to team up to defeat him, yet he is able to two shot Dabura and Gohan. Does this mean Gohan and Dabura wouldn't be two shotted by Goku or Majin Vegeta?

In other instance, he is able to get send flying by SSJ Kid Trunks, but SSJ Gohan's kick doesn't even faze him.

SSJ2 Vegeta is able to damage him in a much easier way than SSJ3 Goku despite of being nowhere near close.

How would you explain those instances?

Final Form Freeza can take hits from
KKx20 Goku yet he still gets his shit
kicked in by a battle worn Piccolo.
off-guard attacks are PIS.

We see a much stronger version of
Buu getting pierced by bullets.
He probably just decides when to
use his biology/regen to his advantage by
not guarding ( not using the typical method of ki amp to withstand attacks like
everyone else in the series ).

We see Gotenks, Ultimate Gohan, Vegito and
Birus melee attacks hurt Buu.
If the attack has significant amount of
ki behind it, it’ll hurt him.

Why do you believe they should be two-shotted by SSJ2 Goku or Majin Vegeta?
Maybe not two shotted, but with an extreme ease, that is (PM Vegeta considered those two as garbage). It also makes nonsensical and illogical the idea of Gohan being a SSJ and Dabura being in the same tier as Gohan as SSJ2 is a form which increases greatly the previous form.

What? Where’s the contradiction? Why does Boo two-shotting Dabura and Gohan mean that Goku and Vegeta can’t do it? The only requirement is that they’re also weaker than Boo.

This is the same situation as Piccolo sending 50% Freeza flying with a kick.

I think Gohan was in an SSJ2-faux form against Dabura. Vegeta considered Zarbon trash too, but he couldn't two-shot him.

To put it easy, which form you think Gohan was in against Dabura and Buu?

But, how could Gohan doesn't do much damage to Buu attacking him in the same way?

Trunks doing something Gohan didn’t always confused me. Maybe Trunks did because he had more momentum?

No, we're not doing any of that. Answer my question, because your conclusion makes no sense.

The only real difference is Trunks sent him flying further, and who knows why. I guess it's a little weird, but not any more so than the series usually has been. Gohan was already injured for one thing, and sure, Trunks might've had more momentum. I don't find something like that to be any more inconsistent than this series is in general; it's not some anomalous situation that's unique to Boo.

Because Buu is stronger than Goku & Vegeta and if he is the least powerful character able to put Gohan & Dabura down in two blows, there's nothing pointing out other way. If reaching the conclussion of Gohan being a SSJ it makes no sense for Gohan to not get oneshotted.

Who knows if that damage may have made a difference and if it is like a Gohan-Cell situation in which he is bleeding, but his power didn't even drop?

The number of blows someone uses to down someone is not always indicative of the number of blows needed to down someone. Just that it's the number of blows they used to down them.

He's not.
Headcanon can say whatever you think it is the case and speak for you, demonstrable things are what speak for facts and what it actually proves how facts are. I just go by what is demonstrable and factible.

is what you've presented me with.
We're shown Fat Boo two-shotting Gohan. You've decided that this makes him the least powerful person capable of doing so. Headcanon.
Haven't you thought that is more difficult to prove anyone *weaker* than him being able to do the same?

You're assuming that Boo needs two shots to put Gohan down, which is why you're fixated on whether anyone weaker than Boo could also do it. Like Dagon said, just because it took two shots doesn't mean he needed two shots. It might mean that, but it might not. Boo also "needed" multiple hits to put Kaioshin down. Would Goku and Vegeta need even more? Did 50% Freeza "need" more than one hit to beat Goku? Why did Goku one-shot Reacoom, but two-shot Butta, when they're both equals and Reacoom is the one who has his durability emphasized?

To go back to your question about Gohan being SSJ or SSJ2, if we conclude that Gohan is SSJ based on other evidence that we deem stronger than this one little scene, then the Fat Boo vs Gohan scenario is simply a less egregious Freeza vs Goku scenario. If we conclude that he's SSJ2, that still doesn't mean that Fat Boo can't one-shot him, although the idea has at least entered the realm of possibility at this point.

@Kyo

Buu likes people to suffer, which is shown with Shin and Vegeta, he isn't playing with Gohan or Dabura which is why he put them down in a few blows.

Tbf, Freeza probably wasn't using that level of effort (50%) against Goku because he didn't one-shot him even though he angered him, even worse considering that is a Goku whose power drained considerably.

When someone let their guard open is open for more vulnerabilities which is why Goku could put him down on an easier way, this is pretty much stated.

Well, we'll never know which form Gohan was, but if it was only SSJ Gohan it doesn't make sense for Buu to not one-shot him since he was ahead of Goku & Majin Vegeta and the gap is clearly larger than SSJ2 Gohan vs Perfect Cell whom with two blows he made a great amount of damage (same goes with Dabura).
