Shit like this is fucking impressive to me. I don't think visual effect over-saturation necessarily automatically makes a good AMV, but I don't think I've seen any AMV by a person competent in AE make a bad AMV.

There's a lot that goes into making AMVs, from obvious things like timing and effects, to stuff a lot of people wouldn't expect. Things like storyboarding and pace. Good AMVs make <del>my dick hard</del> me happy. No, no, you know what? They do make my dick hard.

That was made on Vegas. Which is even more impressive, he even said that eh started it a year ago. Since I have a strong interest in editing, I always notice most of the time consuming effects that are used. In that, masking.... tons of masking/rotoscoping.

I've had the problem of wanting to make AMVs, and technically knowing how to, but not being able to plan out footage well. Also I didn't have a good enough computer to work with a decently sized HD project until recently. So most things I've made are short.
