Bounty aside, do you think he's the strongest Fishman (outside Jack maybe). Escaping Mariejois while saving all the slaves is a huge feat imo.

He was caught and turned into a slave for the Tenryuubito. He escaped and freed all the slaves at Mariejois, including Hancock and her ugly sisters who should have remained there.

To be fair, Hancock's sisters looked good back then.

No but he captained the same crew which Jimbei did, so he's automatically pretty strong imo. Plus it took an admiral to kill him iirc (this might be wrong lmao)

According to the wiki, he was ambushed by marines and shot an ass ton of times, he escaped but later bleed to death. The marines were lead by Rear Admiral Strawberry, but it doesn't say if he fought him or not.

Again according to the wiki, Kizaru rekt Arlong and captured him while Strawberry was after Fisher. So Kizaru did in fact wreck a fishman in that arc, just not the one you thought

Iirc it was said by the marines that Jimbei was the true danger of the crew whereas everyone thought it was Fisher Tiger. Isn't something like this mentioned?

Dunno if it's anime only (or maybe the subtitle being crappy) but in the site I watched the Fishman Island several years ago I remember some marine saying Jimbei was the one in the crew they had to be truly watchful for, implying he is more dangerous than Fish Tiger himself iirc.

Strawberry says something along the lines of Jimbei being who they should watch out for. However, this was after Tiger had died and was talking about Arlong not being worth keeping tabs on.

As for Fisher Tiger, it's hard to say. His role as captain would suggest he's above Jimbei, but it could be easily argued that Jimbei became stronger through his later experiences. Him being killed by a group of Marine jobbers is also very underwhelming too. The most we're given as to a solid placement is Luffy's awe when hearing how he scaled the Red Line would place him >> Pre-Skip Luffy.
