How strong was his suppressed state?

I have it in the 200k range. About 5 times stronger than Nail.

Goku could already match or even surpass 1st form Freeza with kaioken x4.
There are only two explanations for Goku being afraid on arrival that I can think of. One is that Freeza can't lower his BP properly so Goku could still feel the ki of Freeza's body (540,000) even if he Freeza wasn't putting it into his attacks against Nail.
The other is that he was afraid because he just knew Freeza was strong and didn't know his intentions with regards to Gohan, Krillin, Bulma, the Nameks, the Dragon Balls and the planet itself.

One doubt I have: Why was Goku surprised when Vegeta said he could not defeat Freeza, if he just used bursts of ~60,000 to tool the Ginyus? Did Goku know that Vegeta know he could increase his power even further?

He could easily be afraid because it just surpassed his expectations by quite a bit. And Kaio-Ken is iffy. He was afraid of Vegeta's speed even though he could surpass it.

Nah not really scared he seems remotely the same as he was when he talked about the ginyus levels.

I would say around the 250k range

Definitely below 400k. But probably higher than Goku's 180K against Ginyu by a good amount.

Wait, if Freeza was supressed before he powered up against Vegeta, why were Gohan and Krillin so afraid of him? Especially when Gohan and Krillin were in the same league as Vegeta (Somewhat).

Because of Freeza's attitude. He was completely relaxed, as if he was still feeling in control. Meanwhile, Vegeta was stressing. This confused them, I'm guessing.
