Well, he is probably the most iconic villain of the franchise, being the only one to have ties to both Goku and Vegeta's past, not to mention always standing out in vidya OPs and crossover material (eg. The DBZ x Kochikame crossover, J-Stars, etc.)

I don't really mind Freeza joining the team. His power and abilities such as telekinesis would make him a far more useful member than many in the roster. Teamwork would be an issue, but Galu's shit at that anyway, so

It's not as though Freezie Pop would act all high and mighty with Big Daddy Bills and his peers judging him.
