I'm not the only who probably thought about this but the current funidub has no problem dubbing the product in an edgy way compare to back then where they can't even say the word god iirc. You would think that now in this PC world that they would have to be careful on their script. What do gou guys think?

Funimation are still highly PC on their script for most shows, to the point some of their translations for dubs of recent shows start inserting their SJW bias where it didn't belong.

For DB in specific though, I wouldn't say the way they dub it is "edgy" at all. They simply were allowed to improve in accuracy. The dub of Kai was still censored for its TV airing until it was moved to the Adult Swim block in the Boo Arc, which allowed for far less censorship. Beyond voice acting and script accuracy improving, the only thing I'd say has changed is that Funimation have become far more open in having lines that poke fun at the show, such as the Cell Games re-enactment in Kai's Boo Arc having a lot of dub memes in its initial dubbing before Toei got pissed off or Goku saying "Cha-La-Head-Cha-La" in the filler episode in Super of he and Kuririn fighting the illusion villains.

Well Vegeta called Zamasu S.O.B after his and Trunks Galick Gun didn't work. There's also the fact that they use the word Gods/lords which I doubt that they would use back then since they changed Kami, King Kai and other gods name.

That's due to it being somewhat accurate to Vegeta's insults in the Japanese version, in which he often angrily refers to opponents as "yarou" (often translated as bastard), so it's only being accurate to the original script rather than being edgy.

Again, that's just accuracy to the Japanese script and the result of having moved to a channel with less censorship, plus the names for Gods in the original dub were at least somewhat accurate translations or choices based on the Japanese script.

Exactly, that's what I should've said. You can barely hear the word 'S.O. B' and 'bastard' back then but now they follow the Jap dub better than they did. Mostly you can here them calling the villain 'monster' or something else.
