Trunks should be stronger.
Goku: 1

~ SSJ2: 100

~ SSJG: 4,000

If SSJ2 Trunks is close to Blue, then base Trunks is almost half as strong as SSJG.

I don't think the story is written with multipliers in mind, so there's no definitive way of knowing. If we follow conventional multipliers, then Base Trunks would be half of God Goku as @GreatSaiyaman123 described since SSJ2 Trunks was consistently depicted to be on par with Blue Goku and Blue Vegeta during their 1st and 2nd visits in the future. That would mean that Base Trunks would decimate Goku.
