Piccolo was well below ASSJ Vegeta and Trunks before he entered the RoSaT. I don't think that his one trip, compared to their two trips, is enough to put him on their level. Trunks wins imo.

Goku and Gohan only made one trip compared to Vegeta and Trunks two trips yet they are still vastly superior.

Piccolo has trained in a superior fashion and is able to bring out all of his potential same as Goku and Gohan. Vegeta and Trunks trained inefficiently.

Who would win in your opinion?

I tend to think that Piccolo's position to Trunks and Vegeta is very similar to the beginning of the Androids Saga.

Piccolo's power is indeed respectable but just out of range of the Super Saiyans.

I'd go with something like this most likely.

Cell Jr 100
Vegeta 100
Trunks 100
Piccolo 88-90

Something like that.

If Goku SSJ ( Cell Game ) is 100, Vegeta should be 60?

Yea I generally like 60% for Vegeta. To make as big a gap as possible, Goku and Cell are like Gods to them. 60-66% of fine imo.

I put Piccolo on 50% MSSJ Goku's level so I have him a considerable deal beneath Trunks.

Gohan: 125
Goku: 100
Vegeta: 70
Trunks: 69
Piccolo: 53

Considering how long he stood up against the Cell Jr, the closer the better imo.

Number wise:

Gohan: 54
Goku: 36
Cell kids: 25
Vegeta: 24
Trunks: 22.5-23
Piccolo: 20
50% Goku: 18

That's the highest I'm comfortable with for Piccolo, although I'm also okay with him being slightly below 50% Goku.

Pretty one-sided fight in Trunks's favor.
Don't forget that Piccolo handle a Cell Jr.
Handle is a great word. Piccolo was clearly dominated. Cell stated that the only ones able to give them a run for their money is Vegeta and Trunks. So, their battle would still be one-sided.

People feel the need to exclude Piccolo for no reason imo. Piccolo is clearly excluded out of the Super Saiyan power club during the Androids Saga, but his power is shown as impressive. He's right there, just a step below.

Same thing here, he's able to survive against a Cell Jr for a period of time, but is clearly not on the same level as them.

Same deal here.

Piccolo is somewhere in the 80-87% range or so.

True enough on this. Yet the Saiyans all had a training partner the first time around and all of them made tremendous growth. Some more then others, as you said. The second time around, Vegeta and Trunks go in solo, and we don't see as much of a change. Piccolo too decided to go in solo, and the only thing he got for his troubles was a half hearted compliment from Goku.

So I am left to be inclined to think that two going in is far more beneficial that simply one. Goten and Trunks during the Boo saga might back this up somewhat as well.

While I understand the point you made, I don't want to speculate on Piccolo doing any kind of special training when I can't confirm any of that. However, if I go with that for the sake of argument, it still leaves me with the notion that Trunks after two trips still outclasses Piccolo after one, whether or not that margin is a small one. Unless you are of the mind that Piccolo wins this fight, I have to side with the established results of said training, which leaves Piccolo the weaker of the two.

Vegeta and Trunks more or less wasted that first year doing bad training for the long haul. Goku, Gohan and Piccolo did not. They brought themselves up to their maximum potential in one year or less.

It required Vegeta and Trunks two years to do this, so they all ended up at the same place, just took them longer.

And yes, Piccolo is indeed weaker than Trunks. I'm just arguing the gap isn't all that big.

Do you think Future Trunks would defeat Piccolo in the Cell Games?

For sure, Trunks is too much for Piccolo. As bad as the Cell Jr messed up Piccolo, Trunks would do the same.

Well, Piccolo surviving a long time against the Cell jrs. Basically, he did the same as Krillin, Yamcha and Tien. Just better than the first two and as good as the latter.

At minimum, I put him at half a SSJ's power, which is still enough for a one-sided battle.
