In power I think there's too much of an advantage for Trunks, but his poison can still affect him.

How would have Trunks fared had he been in the Zen Exhibition Match as opposed to Gohan?

The poison can affect someone 50 or more times stronger. Even Goku & Vegeta has to shield themselves and create a technique to nulify, Trunks lacking knowledge and being a rookie is another thing to consider.

The Trio de Danger's power is kind of inconsistent. Goku and Vegeta should have been able to body them in seconds, them going Blue to overpower their attack is retarded.

Never said it didn't but knowing Trunks, who is a much more ruthless fighter than Gohan, he would probably slice and dice Lavender before it weakens him too much

In a tournament he can't likely use his sword and this is the same scenario as the Zen Exhibition Match.
