Gap between Vegeta and Semi Cell

Cell was unable to land a single hit on Vegeta, and Vegeta tanked his punch without falling over. It seems smaller than Jackie Chun vs Yamcha, but by how much?

Also the Gr2 boost should be pretty significant IMO considering how Piccolo was treating it. So that in itself should make it at least a 2x gap.

A 2x gap between SS and SSG2, or a 2x gap between Vegeta and Cell?

Seems tough to fit all of this in with less than a 2x.

That fits IMO. Cell being that useless demands a huge gap.

SSG2 Vegeta > Perfect Cell [expected] >> 2nd Form Cell going by Vegeta's confidence in letting Cell transform, but that's contradicted by Vegeta seemingly putting full effort into his blows and Cell being able to get back up from them. I'm just going to go with the explanation that Vegeta was being arrogant and that Cell is about ~70% of Vegeta.

I have Semi Cell ( Full Power ) at 75% of Vegeta SSJG2. Vegeta SSJ should be at Semi Cell's ( initial ) level.

One thing I'm sure of... the gap between Gohan SSJ2 and Perfect Cell is definitely bigger that that of Vegeta and Semi Cell. Compare Vegeta's tank on Semi Cell with Kid Gohan's tank on Perfect Cell... the latter seems much more impressive. Even Vegeta's tank on #19 is better than Vegeta's tank on Semi Cell. Kid Gohan -Perfect Cell > Vegeta - #19 > Vegeta - Semi Cell.

Perfect Cell - Kid Gohan SSJ2 = 60/100
#19 - Vegeta SSJ = 70/100
Semi Cell - Vegeta SSJG2 = 75/100

I'm even thinking about Vegeta vs Semi Cell be a 80/100 type of gap. Vegeta is really putting effort into his hits.

I honestly don't have a huge gap between them. Vegeta's expectation of Perfect Cell doesn't need to be monstrously ahead of 2nd Stage Cell. It could even be on equal footing with Vegeta and I'm sure it wouldn't change the Saiyan's belief of winning.

Piccolo climaxing over the Grade 2 boost doesn't necessitate a 200% increase for me either. It could be 30% increase and I don't think Piccolo's reaction would be that much different.

For me, this is an 80/100 type of gap, enough for Vegeta to be totally comfortable in the fight yet have to put noticeable effort into his attacks.

It just seems weird that it would be such a tiny boost and they'd spend around 3 different panels (spread out) talking about Vegeta releasing more and more ki. It doesn't seem like it's meant to be a modest boost imo.

That's probably an issue with how boosts are portrayed throughout the manga. Vegeta's power-up (or "surface" if you will) was barely 20% or less, and it shook the planet and frightened Goku.

Do you believe that Goku base ( DBS ) = Goku SSJG? If so, the SSJGSSJ boost would be around of a 80/100 type of boost and you know how long it take to Goku do it.

I've always just assumed that the gap between imperfect and semi-perfect was pretty much just adding 17's power, and that vegeta thought perfect cell would also just be the addition of 18's power that always worked out in my head anyway.

Of course placing the gap like that relies on logical consistency in power levels in the cell saga, something AT seemed to have abandoned by then.
