Shouldn't M4 SSJ Goku be ahead of Namek Vegeta? He should be 90,000 in the film, no?

He is 90k but if you are talking about the 3,000,000 for Goku then I don't think it matters because

1. The movie came out long before this power level for Goku was given so Toei could of intended Movie 4 Goku to be comparable to that Vegeta and nothing contradicts it.

2. The first point is backed up by the fact that 3 million is too low for Goku based on all the gaps the manga imply.

you can see that the movie villian is around the level of the strongest character of the manga 3 months prior to the movie (in the anime the movie villian is as strong as the character who appears 2-3 episodes after the movie realese.

Movie 4: the strongest character in the manga 3 months prior to the movie was Initial Final Form Freeza with "Super Saiyan" Vegeta.

The power levels list I'm doing has Slug > 100% Freeza, but Slug being comparable a suppressed 4th form Freeza makes more sense. The movies always pluck the characters from the time they started production more or less. M4 started production when they were fighting 1st form Freeza, and while the movie clearly nerfs Gohan, Piccolo and Kuririn (Or maybe the anime staff didn't do their homework), it makes more to say Goku is the already seen 90k than the yet to be seen 3 million.

Lol no. Final form Freeza did not exist when movie 4 came out. Slug is as strong as Initial Final Form Freeza.

If anything, Goku should be on par with his post zenkai self which Vegeta referred to as a Super Saiyan. It doesn't really make sense to inexplicably put Goku only on Vegeta's level.

Why isn’t Piccolo merged with Nail in the movie?

Because the movie is based on the Ginyu Arc. Why was not Gohan ultimate in movie 12? Why was not Gohan with his Namek Arc haircut in movie 2?

The movies of march generally get released in the beginning of the next arc and not the during the arc they follow, unlike the movies of July.

Also, Krillin Gohan and Piccolo were not nerfed. they all max out at what they were during the Ginyu Arc. Gohan and Krillin should likely be as strong as they were when they fought Ginyu with Gou's body.

When we say "Initial Final Form Freeza" we refer to the Freeza who took out Vegeta.
