Just watched episode 18. Personally, I think it'd have more impact if Toji had more relevance, and hadn't been relegated to a side character for most of the series.
Whilst I agree, there's not much that could be done with him. Beyond his introduction being used to bring up the often overlooked question of civilian casualties in action series and him being used for contrast with Shinji in how they viewed Rei, there wasn't much for him to do in the plot that would result in much more than padding.Pocket-Gog~ said:Just watched episode 18.
