Gohan's aura versus Boo

[SSJ2]

Is it just me or does Gohan's aura look more like SSJ2 when firing the KHH at Boo's ball?

Obviously the aura is lacking lightning but that looks distinctly different to his aura before that point. What do you think?

The aura is merely growing more intense due to the radiation of energy. SPC and SSJ2 Gohan's lightning sparks were obscured by the glow of their auras when they were charging their final attacks, same with Vegeta's flowing flame aura of regular SSJ growing to SSJg2-tier levels when he used the Big Bang Attack.

Yea fair enough. I was comparing it to SSJ Goku's KHH against Cell where the same effect wasn't seen.

Looks like Goku's aura in the Cell Games to me. Keep in mind this kind of aura first showed up with FPSSJs.

Even FPSSJ Goku's aura was inconsistent tho.

That's a good catch. So it's merely indicative of powering up? Odd that it disappears the moment the power up ends.

When they power up to maximum they get a different aura, like when Gohan powered up for the Kamehameha.
