Why are people bringing up the anime in a manga thread? The anime sucks anyway.

Him looking at ultimate gohan means what? Nothing. No implication whatsoever that he was even comparing the two at all or that he ever had any grasp on boo arc gohans power to begin with.

Gohan is equal to base Goku, just like he was before. That's all the evidence needed, not lying about the implications of tiens irrelevant reaction.

He explicitly says that he sensed Gohan and that both Gohan and Boo have gotten a lot stronger. It's common sense he'd be comparing the two as it's clear in this instance he had no idea Gohan was that strong, unless you believe Ten's an amnesiac and put headcannon in order to place Base Goku's strength at the low end rather than go with high end implications of his strength such as his performance against Hit and Beerus, the former of which is consistent in both mediums (and in case you hadn't noticed, this thread is talking about the same manga that has Base Goku fighting well against Hit and takings hits from Zamasu).

Ten sensing Gohan during the Boo Arc is all the evidence needed, not your headcannon and ignorance of obvious comparisons.

So it means he could tell they were a lot stronger and that's it. Not that he can grasp their full power which he can't since he was shocked that his ki blast cannon did nothing to boo.
No evidence that he's even comparing them like you're lying about since he said nothing of the sort, just Tien being surprised at how strong Gohan is.

Base Gohan pre training=base Goku=base Gohan post training.
Base Gohan fighting evenly with Goku before his training isn't headcanon. The wild extrapolations you're making from Tien saying "what?" is laughable though.

I myself is still figuring out where to place the Base Saiyans and Piccolo.

Manga-wise: Goku's consistent performance against characters relevant to Universe level characters such as Initial Hit and Zamasu places him far above anyone in Z and GT. Piccolo being able to wear down Frost also places him above the Base Saiyans.

Anime-wise: Same due to Goku's equally impressive performance against Hit and his post-U6 fight with Beerus. Same for Piccolo for the U6 Arc.

As for comparing them to each other...

Manga: Piccolo >> Base Saiyans

Anime U6 Arc: Piccolo >> Base Saiyans
Anime's Current Arc: Debatable. Piccolo's sparring with Goku suggests he's below him, but for what :toei's staff's word is worth, one of them said in an interview he believes that Piccolo is above post-training Boo, who should be at least equal to Base Goku. Maybe Piccolo will show his worth before the ToP ends.
