the person who fought kuririn
who wins, in ur opinion???

Kuririn thought they'd be lost at the tournament, though when he saw them.Animelover5487 said:I have them equal. Goku wins due to being more skilled and having partial mastery of the Kamehameha.

He also seemed to respect them more than Goku for some-reason at first, even after Goku easily surpassed him at everything. Even-though that could be more because of him being a Monk and having to respect the, more than anything.
Or bullying-psychology employed by the seniors.
So do you think they could be on-par with Goku (Beginning of DragonBall)? I don't know I always kind-of thought it'd be weird for them to be able to defeat Yamcha at the Beginning of DragonBall, too. So I always kept them below Yamcha for sure, whenever I think of that.Papasmurf said:Years of bullying may have made :Krillin cower before them, but I also feel the part about them being stronger makes sense. At most Goku would be equal to them though, but I lean on the bullies being stronger as Kuririn didn't feel they surpassed the bullies even with training. As wrong as he was, I feel there was a pretty good gap and that them being defeated easily shows how far Goku and Kuri went by training under Roshi.
Yeah, I didn't forget about it. It's just them even being higher than Yamcha from the Beginning of DragonBall seems kind-of weird to me. I don't know why, I guess I think of them being lower.Papasmurf said:Well Yamcha did say he'd been training for the tournament, so even if Yamcha was stronger during the 21st it doesn't necessarily mean he was stronger in BODB too.
Yeah Goku with his tail was said to be higher than without, IIRC.Papasmurf said:Goku did say he feels stronger with the tail I guess. Maybe he was just weaker from its loss when he beat up Kuririn, unlike his fight with Yamcha?

It's not out-right stated, but makes sense. Yamcha was already close to Goku and Goku without his tail is much lower than he is with the tail, so it makes sense. (in my opinion of-course)ahill1 said:I don't know. I don't feel good with Goku (w/o tail) losing to Yamcha. It's not implied.
Goku said he's in much better condition after getting his tail back, which means before he wasn't in as good, so he was lower. Or else it wouldn't make sense, in my opinion.ahill1 said:Do you think Goku (fighting with Kuririn/training with Roshi) would do worse against Yamcha than he did before? It just feels odd to me.
Besides this, even after losing his tail, Goku was confident in defeating his Granpa Son Gohan and the latter even gave up. It doesn't seem Goku lost power after losing his tail against Son Gohan.
I'm not denying Goku got stronger after regaining his tail in the Budokai, this was heavily implied. But I don't know about Goku getting weaker after losing his tail.

I think AT probably just forgot about it at that point. And Grand-Pa Gohan was also already tired by that point, remember? In-fact Goku was about to defeat him before he grabbed his tail.
