Goku vs Hyper Mega Rild

What is the gap? Goku basically taunts him and says that his battle increase was substantial, but it didn't mean much. Reminds me of Super Vegeta saying more or less the same thing after Semi Cell powered up.

It's been too long since I've seen GT to give a worthwhile answer. The last time I made a battle powers list that I considered decent, I had Rild around 60% of SS Goku.

SSJ Vegeta: 100
Gr 2: 200
Semi Cell: 100
Power up: 150

Hm, I have the Semi Cell gap closer than that actually. Numbers aside, would you agree that Goku vs Hyper Mega Rild was closer than Gr2 Vegeta vs Semi Cell based on memory?

I've seen a few arguments for 2nd form Cell not being too much weaker than Vegeta based on two full-force blows not taking him down. Not saying the gap isn't big, just not significantly so.

As for Goku vs. Rild, very rusty, but did Rild ever do anything to Goku besides threaten him with that stuff that turns him to metal?

They had a few exchanges that looked even, but Goku took the advantage later on causing Rild to transform.
