Super Saiyan seemed to have a "healing" concept to it early on when you think about it. He seemingly was back to full-power after transforming, he revived Freeza by giving him some Chi, and even though it isn't canon, is able to revive the bird in Cooler's Revenge after he becomes a Super Saiyan.

They ignored it going forward, but still. I always thought it was interesting.

Is there any case where someone injured transforms and is still injured? I wouldn’t say it faded away, we just never saw it again. Even explains why folks are miraculously at full power all the time in the ToP.

Maybe it did when they mastered SSJ since it gave the form a different nature and stuff, but pre Rosat it’s all fair.

It's possible that's only true for first time transformation, since powerful emotions trigger them.
