So, the Hitman Team's plan (at least in Formaggio's mind) was to analyse the boss' identity based on Trish's Stand. How exactly was that supposed to work when the only scenario that would be beneficial in is if they had a list of suspects with similar Stands they knew of? Even if they were just trying to learn about the boss' Stand, it's been shown with the Joestars that family members can have drastically different Stands, something even shown once Trish activates her's.

How did Formaggio hear what Narancia said when the latter was shrunk down to a size of an insect? Would make sense if he was talking through his Stand. Shame Araki forgot that little feature he'd used several times already. :punk

Also, pretty clear Araki's never seen how someone actually reacts to being set on fire. Shouldn't the sudden change in his body's size with a slit wrist spilling blood have caused him to die of blood loss pretty quickly or at least be placed in a state of shock? Yes, JoJo and reality go together about as well as a car and a brick wall, but when considering how often bodily injuries have been a major factor in fights and tactics before, that's dumb on every level.

And people say Part 5 isn't :trash.

I dont even think Formaggio's slit wrist was brought up later in the episode lol. Which considering he'd likely sustained some third degree burns as well in the process, is ridiculous. All the more when even a Hamon user like Joseph was stated to last a minute with a slit wrist when Wamuu slit it back in Part 2. :punk

I also liked how when Narancia set the whole street on fire, nobody really noticed nor were there any other casualties besides his one enemy... gtfo lol.

Especially when having some civilian casualties would definitely sell the idea of Part 5's Mafia main cast not being as morally just as those of previous parts, but no, we can't have them harming anyone other than other gang members who deserve it in their eyes (other than that cat I guess).

So is the anime worth watching, does it do anything to make part 5 seem better?

It's pr much the same thing with minor plot holes fixed, and King Crimson's ability is still as incomprehensible as ever :donovan2

Worth watching for the torture dance being a case of David Productions really putting in the work, as well as taking some influence from the Purple Haze Feedback spinoff to give Fugo a proper backstory. Other than that, it doesn't have much to make it worth watching compared to reading the manga unless needing a refresher on the events or wanting to see the Part 5 memes animated.

Opening had its moments, especially compared to most modern OPs, though it's definitely still one of the weaker JoJo Openings. I liked the visuals to do with Doppio and how the scene with he and Diavlo at the start mirrors the end of Part 5 with Giorno as head of Passione as well as showing some hesitation through Fugo almost stepping forward, but it's definitely lacking in the subtlety the previous openings had of foreshadowing events through visuals.

So, watched the Doppio VS Risotto fight and it displays perhaps the biggest problem in Part 5, being how ridiculous and inconsistent character durability is. Apparently being fisted through the chest or back by King Crimson is a fatal injury, whereas having scissors internally pierce your throat is just a flesh wound. If Jonathan was a Part 5 character, he'd have gotten up from having lasers pierce his throat and than calmly think how he'd save the ship. :facepalm

Metallica's ability is cool (and is one of the few Stand names not butchered by a name change) but it does seem a little stupid that the metals materialise into specific and intricate designs of finely crafted scissors, razor blades and knives with finely made edges. Considering Risotto never bothered using them for anything but weapons he didn't touch himself, it makes no sense why the metal wouldn't just materialise into spikes or thin slabs.

Haven't watched since the first episode of the Notorious BIG arc. Might catch up this week or the next.

Funny how in a part with such a well-executed, sudden, realistic death as Abacchio's, we have Narancia's death being set-up in such a cliched manner even Caesar and Kakyoin could facepalm at it. :alex2

I wonder why Bucciaratti didn't just commit suicide in Diavolo's body. I mean, his body was already a zombie and shit, so it's not like he'd be at a loss or anything.

Also, isn't it kinda weird that Giorno's body died with Narancia's soul still in it, and he can just fix it up and crawl back in like nothing happened?

To be fair, it was later shown through Narancia that the original owner of the body goes back to normal once the soul swapped with them dies and Bucciaratti would be taking a big risk in killing himself prior to figuring out what was going on.

There is some level of excuse for this with the line of Giorno stating that Narancia's soul had already died and considering it was a body that didn't belong to Narancia, I'm guessing there was some kind of loophole compared to the case of restoring Bucciarati's body from King Emperor Crimson's fisting.
