Gotenks surviving Fat Boo's assault

Vegeta knew he was going into a death fight. He thought he could take Boo with him. It wasn't until he started to fight that he realized Boo was otherworldly and couldn't be brought down by conventional methods.

This is shit Gotenks should also know since the kids watched Vegeta's fight with Boo, and knew that the self-destruction didn't work (obviously). Gotenks's confidence in himself makes no damn sense, just like Kibitoshit thinking he could help in the battle against motherfucking Gotenks-Boo. Hell, they felt Super Saiyan 3 Goku fighting Boo and still had the gall to think they could win. Get that weak shit outta here, broskeet.

I can't think of a scenario where Fat Boo could beat the shit outta Base Gotenks and yet not finish him. He was pretty jacked up. If Boo wanted to turn him into candy and eat him, pretty sure he would've done so.

So Base Gotenks surviving the battle just seems like dumb luck. Maybe a resistance group started throwing rocks at Boo and took his attention away or something. Any scenario would suffice. I just don't think it really means anything. Piccolo knew right from the jump that Gotenks was fodder to Boo.

The others could know Goku wasn't trying to kill Boo though. They weren't standing far from Goku and Piccolo when he admited he wanted to give the boys a shot.

Ironically, that's pretty much what happened in the Anime, only with the army attacking Boo instead of a resistance group.

I think that as long as base Gotenks is above the SSJ kids (which is implied by Piccolo's rather shocked reaction towards Gotenks when he was formed, in comparison to his "not so blow out" reaction to both kids using their full power as SSJ), I am fine. I don't put much stock into Gotenks' surviving feats against Fat Boo, don't think it has to mean he is > SSJ2 Vegeta only because the latter didn't survive, as we don't even know how the fight unfold, and like Mikey mentined, if Fat Boo were already strong enough to mess up Gotenks, killing him shouldn't be a problem.
