Don't insult one of the best series ever. Watched it last week and I can see how it was the most popular series of 2012 and why Ragu was right all along about OP being crap, because she was comparing it to this MASTERpiece. I don't capitalise half a word - or even a full word - often, but this deserved it. Made this topic to see if you're all not as thick as I thought but guess this series went over your head if you can't even see its multiple meanings.

Go fuck yourself, cuz otherwise only Sydnee is gonna touch such a dumb fucker.

I think Haruhi is a great show, poor bastard Kyon has to deal with all of Haruhi's nonsense.

I watched it in 2009, and while I didn't think it was particularly amazing, it was enjoyable enough. Season 2 can eat a dick though, Endless Eight is the worst thing that has ever been allowed to air in anime.

I saw it back in 2009 or 2010. I agree, Endless Eight was abysmal and I can't believe I watched all 8 episodes of that shit. What a waste of time.

I had a huge anime crush on Nagato, though nowadays I'd prefer Haruhi. I used to dive deep into strength debates regarding Nagato and her weird cyber powers or whatever they were.

I really like the post-modern style of writing in the series

thinking of rewatching this. Never liked it that much, but I love the God Knows song (trying to learn it now) and maybe I'll appreciate it more now I've watched other school anime, plus I think I just view anime about teenagers differently to when I was younger - more nostalgically and I might find things that were previously a little annoying quite endearing now - not sure yet though.

I never watched the 2009 show with the Endless Eight - having the same events over and over, with only the outfits changing, does sound like too much of a slog for me. Supposedly it makes the movie more effective somehow? And I guess it could be cool in a similar way to Shenmue, where it's just more realistic, plus lets you experience the same mundaneness as the character, so you get a better sense of the effort he's putting in and appreciate the small things more (like when he rides the motorcycle it feels 10x more badass than in GTA. Honestly one of the coolest moments in any game for me, just because you have to run and literally wait for a bus for 99% of the game).
